If you don't know facts please don't confuse me by giving your oppinion.
My child just started kindergarden this year and has contracted headlice which is very common. She has been treated and gotten rid of the little critters but we have cats in the house and I was wondering if the lice can live on them? I don't want to get my child reinfested.

No. My kids had that problem when they started after-school daycare. I also had cats. When I took them to the doctor, I asked that question. But stuffed animals, blankets, sheets, carpets, anything like that should be washed and dried. Toys, like stuffed animals should be sealed and stored for at least a month(I used a garbage bag).
Be sure to let the teacher, and school nurse know where your child's lice problem started. Lice is a pain in the neck to get rid of! Good luck.

No they cant live on cats, they live on something that is in our hair. But i have found a way to keep them off, I use this on my kids. Last school year we spent half the year fighting with lice we found nothing that could get rid of it. Someone told me to go get some Sauve coconut shampoo and conditioner. there is something in the coconut that the lice dont like. We have not had any more lice since we started using it. I would recomend besides making sure all her stuff is washed, using this shampoo and conditioner. Besides being cheap it has worked so far.
