I have a 9 yr old female indoor cat, and just recently i brought home a 5 week old female kittie, thinking that she could keep her company. The little one, which ive named Gracie, tries to get close to Shadow, the big one, but Shadow always hisses at her and tries to scratch her. What can I do to get them to get along. I did this because i believed Shadow was feeling lonely, since i work full time, and Im only there for 4-5 hrs in the evening and to sleep. Please help.

My girl is getting very old (cat - 17 yrs) and has taken to urinating anywhere and everywhere. Have had battery of test done with no conclusive medical reasons. May be just 'getting old' and forgetting things...I don't know. My Q is about cleaning these areas which include very porous, (such as couch cushion, carpets, and throw rugs to non-porous like bath tub, wood floors(semi-porous ??) and vinal/linoleum flooring. What products does anyone suggest for cleaning these items as well as deterring future use? My biggest concerns are the 8' by 12' Wool rug which needs about 2' area cleaned (sending out not an option-too much $$) the Wood flooring which is tongue-in groove type and not finished and the Couch cushion (2 by 2 and fabric over foam) also Lovseat (wicker) with cushio (2' by 4' & 4" thick--no cover only stuffed) I know there is no single solution.....so if anyone had remedies (old or new) for any of these.......PLEASE HELP......(I'm not euthanizing yet so don't be cute

I have four cats. Two are five month old kittens and I have two adult cats. Only one of them ever goes outside and he and the other adult cat are on Advantage. However, all the cats have fleas terribly (one has scratched its self to the point it has nearly no hair on its tail). The two kittens who do not have Advantage have flea collars. We've given all the cats flea baths but you can only do this once a week.

The fleas are EVERYWHERE! We've set off three flea bombs in different rooms in the house but in a matter of days the population was the same, if not larger, than before. We also set up two flea traps but they don't seem to be having an effect other than assuring me we have a flea problem.

Is there anything short of ripping up the carpeting and spending a fourtane that I can do? They are driving me crazy and my cats are miserable.

About three months ago, i moved into a trailer park. I moved with my long time cat, and a cat i got a few months before. When we moved in, the new kitty always wanted to be out side, but she couldnt go in and out, because she might give my other cat some disease (she's never had shots). So she was an outside cat, and one day she killed a bunny, so I drove her into the country and let her go on a farm. Well I saw her yesterday, and she's been coming to the door ever since. What should I do? I cant let her back in, but it tears my heart out to see her there.

I have a 7 year old cat. We have become allergic to her and cannot give her the attention she needs. She is a talkative and lovable cat. I do not want to take her to a humane society because being older-she will probably be put down. I have tried rescue organizations and have had no such luck. Please advise!

My stray cat & her kittens have a swarm of mosquitos around them. What can help keep the mosquitos away without hurting the kittens. I put out garlic cloves today, but now I read cats hate the smell of garlic. Any other ideas?

We got a new puppy about a month ago. Him and the cat play and romp around alot. The cat acts all mad when the puppy comes up and starts playing, and gets all growly and hissy, but I know that if he didn't really like the puppy playing with him he would jump up on the couch or somewhere the puppy can't reach. He lays outside the crate when we have the puppy in there and plays with the puppy through the bars. That's not the issue though. Ever since we got the puppy, the cat has been pooping on the couch or on the stairs(carpeted). He's been housebroken since we got him a year ago, and the only other time he pooped outside his litterbox was when we switched litter on him. We switched back to the old litter, and he was fine. Is he pooping on the couch because he's jealous of the puppy? Anyone know what his problem is? My fiance is about to kick him out and make him live outside.

We just got a new kitten and it really seems to dislike dry catfood, I was thinking of mixing the dry with canned. I heard that feeding them straight canned food can make their teeth weak? What do you think?
