My male cat is now 6 months old, not yet been neutered but is having his op soon.

He keeps spraying behind out TV and I'm not really sure how to stop him and how to get rid of the smell.

In about a million years, which animals do you think will have evolved to walk on two feet instead of four?

This isn't that serious of a question, don't tell me things like "with global warming the world will be destroyed before that happens". That CLEARLY isn't an answer to my question.
And please don't preach to me about God if you don't believe in evolution. It's just a question, don't take offence to it.

I'm minding a 1 1/2 year old male cat while my friend is working abroad. He was fine going out and coming back for about a week and half then went out last Monday morning and hasn't been back since. Have checked next door neighbours and the old house we all used to live in. Where do I go from here?

My neighbour has had a baby and is paranoid that her cat will lie on the baby and suffocate it, so she won't let the cat in the house any more - it has to sleep in the shed. I think this is cruel, especially with the winter approaching. It's a timid but very affectionate animal and can't understand what it's done wrong. Is there actually any hard evidence of cats having suffocated babies or is this just one of those old wives' tales or urban myths?

I would be at work for about 8 hrs. and am a little worried about leaving it alone in apt that long. I was thinking about 1-3 yrs old for a cat. I thought a little kitten would cry all day and bother the neighbors. Even though they are so darn cute!!!! I've had cats and kittens before but I was home then. Any thoughts?

My cat is a 5 year old female cat. She is spayed and does go outside at least 1 time a day for at least 30 minutes. Recently she was attacked by a gray male stray cat that has taken intrest in her for about 3-5 months. She had 9-10 puncture wounds on her body in various places. Recently I have felt a lump above her right leg (right with tail facing toward me) I did not think anything of it at the time thinking it might just be swollen from her bites. Then today I felt her again and about 1''1/2 inches from the first lump a smaller lump has formed above (closer toward the bottom of her rib cage) the previous lump. We are taking her to the vet tommorow. She seems to be fine however after the fight she was having trouble moving and breathing. (the fight was about a week and a half ago) She seems to be doing better now, she seems like herself, however when I feel the lump she becomes distressed. Any Ideas what this could be? Thanks for your help.

It's a common preconception that cats are clean creatures, at least compared to dogs. Well deserved to as they learn themselves 33% of the time they are awake and they are awake only 1/3 of their lives. But seriously, how clean is any creature by human terms who doesn't wipe itself after it uses the bathroom and walks in it's **** and piss. As far as I can tell, cat's don't exactly lick themselves clean right after exiting the litter box, they usually walk around a bit first. My point being, there's a chance to track dirty stuff around your house by the cat. So what do you do to minimilize that. Myself, we use an automatic litter box and a walk down where he cleans himself after use as well as another carpet where he has to wipe his feet before exiting his room. But we're always looking for more creative methods. What do you do to retain a clean households: this is to all the Monica Geller type people out there. Thanks.

The neighborhood feral cats keep getting it on and having litters. I've tried to catch them by renting a cage, didn't work. I think the crazy cat lady keeps messing with the cage. Unfortunately, we share a carport so she sees the cage (I tried to hid it also). Their mini offspring are the only ones I can catch.

Everytime I take a litter to the shelter she yells, not at me but at my children. Saying we took them to get KILLED. I have a family member who works at the county shelter and I follow up on all the kittens to make sure they have been adopted out. I even took in a kitten now known as Fluffers. I got him all his shots and he is now neutered. I'm doing my part but I'm sick and tired of these feral cats hanging out and the looney cat lady feeding them along with the skunks and racoons by leaving food out.

Any suggestions on getting rid of them?? By them I'm meaning the feral cats....unfortunately I think I'm stuck with the cat lady :(

What would happen if you taped two cat's back to back and through them off a roof?

He also seems to have tiny patches missing other places. Just a couple. And he is losing a little on his ears. He is a clean cat and never goes outside. He is neuterred and front declawed. He has had the same food this whole time too. He weighs 14 lbs. He does eat normal. He is constantly licking himself on his back and butt mainly around his tail. It just seems like it itches. He is up to date on all his vaccinations also. He has been to the vet recently...anyone know what could be going on?
