the op will help! You must get rid of the smell (products in pet shop for this as normal cleaners and bleaches will not get rid of the scent to the cat and he will repeat the behaviour) I have heard that orange scent deters them but I'm sure if you clean the area properly and have the op he will be fine. If continues see the vet or seek guidance in pet shop (as is a very common problem). My cats stopped with just cleaning the area and a strong "no!" when they went in that place.

Until you can get him neutered, you may want to consider putting him in a separate room with his food and litter box while you are at work. The pet stores sell something called "Urine gone" that is supposed to take away the odor, I have never used it but it would be worth a try. Good luck and I hope the neutering is soon the older he gets the harder it will be to break him of this bad habit.

What I would do when you are not home is put him in the bathroom with his litter box that way you can watch him when you get home. A good deterrant is to get a water bottle and spray him once when you catch him going to the bathroom where he shouldn't Once he get's to know what the spray bottle sounds like, he'll just run and you won't have to spray him. Second of all get URINE GONE , it REALLY works. You might have to treat it a few times but it comes with this light and you can really see where he's been going to the bathroom when the room is dark. you can get it at Bed Bath and Beyond. Third, once he's fixed, you should be ok. Good Luck :)

You've left it a tad too late.
I'm glad you're getting him neutered. But the spot where he sprays is indelibly marked. He'll always smell it even when you can't. Especially if it's in the carpet.
You'll have to replace it and repaint the wall.
There will be some products at the vets - check them out when you go, or ask the nurse.

There is a spray you can buy at the pet store to help him stop but the best way to stop it is to get the cat fixed. To get rid of the smell will be tough try cleaning the carpet if it is wood it will be harder. Make sure you wash it over and over again. Good Luck!

you will get sprays which the cat will hate, i've got used a sprig called beat back, it stinks in spite of the undeniable fact that, even to people, after a at the same time as you will no longer would desire to spray it anymore via fact the cat will keep away. I see your factor that your cat would be going out and in that way. possibly you may desire to attempt to capture the villain interior the act. Get a water pistol and take aim next time he's taking aim! Cats hate water so in case you keep doing that as quickly as he's close by he won't be long getting the message to no longer mark his territory there. feline odour is exceedingly undesirable all remarkable. yet another ingredient you could attempt, it rather is high priced in spite of the undeniable fact that, is a product called Scatt. I had it one 365 days. It has a action sensor and sends out a burst of water vapour while its further on, I used it one 365 days to maintain my cats faraway from the Christmas tree, they only enjoyed mountain climbing up it. it rather is high priced in spite of the undeniable fact that. If it have been me i might choose for the water pistol approach first. it rather is not merciless and it works. it rather is a sturdy way of controlling cats who choose to jumps on tables and wash basins besides.

I stopped my cat by giving it away. My cat caused 2700 pounds worth of spray damage before I gave up. Silks and heavy curtains were his toilet. No amount of cleaning could end the stink. Purchase a done cat or a female done cat, next time. Giant Main Coon's are best and Siamiese talk to you beasts. I love cats, but not their stink in the house. Be hard, beat the bar-stead with a cane, that will stop him, but it takes more lessons than you haVE SWIPES.

Hope he's getting neutered *very* soon - eliminate the space he is using (put tv right against wall or cover area with something he can't move). After he's neutered, clean the carpets and use pet stain remover.

I'm afraid the only way to get him to stop his to give him the op, I had my kitten done a month ago and he is fine. You could maybe get one of those cat friendly sprays that people put in the garden to ward them off or block it off until the op. Good luck!
