I have three cats and they all love to chase things like balls and toy mice when I throw them, but they never bring them back to me so I can throw them again. My nextdoor neighbor has two Golden Retrievers and they love to play fetch. They always bring the ball back. In fact when I walk into their house, the dogs often come up to me with a tennis ball in their mouth wanting me to play fetch with them. Of course, they don't call them "retrievers" for nothing. How can I get my cats to do this? Is it hopeless?

we feed the cats at my office backdoor everday. Recently this cat suffered from a loss of appetite and was getting fatter.
We suspect she's pregnant.

Just less than one hour ago, i saw her sitting down and there were blood stains around her.

I looked closely and i saw blood trickling out from her hind end, 1 drop by 1 drop.

She is giving birth soon, or is that signs of miscarriage?

She doesn't seem to make any noises, and she's sitting in the open not hiding in a secluded corner.

Hey I was just wondering if it was normal when a cat gives birth and after wont nurse the kittens? She wants nothing to do with them. She cleans them off and thats it. Also why doesn't she nurse them?? is that normal for a mother cat to do that?

I have four cats, one of which is a 1 1/2 year old male named Bones, as well as a new male kitten. About a month ago, I brought home the new kitten, and around the same time, my friend's two dogs came to stay with us while she was on vacation. Bones is a very timid cat and scares easily. While the dogs have come to stay with us before and Bones is somewhat used to them, I think between that and the new kitten, he is having some issues. We recently found two places hidden in our basement where he has been urinating repeatedly. We have been trying to break him of this habit for the last few days since we discovered the problem. Today we found him hiding in odd, dark places like the bathtub upstairs and the stall shower in the basement. he is not acting himself, somewhat lethargic. He does not seem to be in pain, we found no wounds, but he will not purr and has been just laying on the counch, which is abnormal for him because he is the kind of cat who cannot sit still for even ten seconds

She has given birth to four healthy kittens. We had a place for her to give birth, but she decided to have them in my mother in law's dresser, instead. When we thought she was done, we moved her into the place we had ready, But it feels like one more may be in there. She seems so be having very small contractions and she's still a bit twitchy. How can we tell if she is done or if there is another one? We know it isn't a placenta, because one came with each of the kittens. Anyone have some advice?

Often my cat will suddenly growl and start running around the house like a maniac. It appears like she is scared and that she's trying to get away from someone or something but there is nothing there. Last night she was climbing the curtains at 3:00 in the morning! She stops as suddenly as she starts, again for no apparent reason. I've had her for 6 months and she's been doing it since I got her (she's 8 months old now) Why does she do this?

I was clipping my kitten's claws, and accidentally clipped one too short, now it's bleeding. Just a little. I think it might have stopped. But will he be okay?? It's too late in the night to go to the vet.

I use a squirt bottle, but she has just gotten used to it, and isn't afraid of it anymore.

I found this website the other day, and have been going back every day since. Here's how it works, one person can click on the page one time a day, every single day. The sponsors on the page donate money to feed big cats (tigers, lions, etc) in captivity everytime the page is viewed. I wanted to share this with everyone to help feed the lovely creatures!! Please go here: http://www.bigcatrescue.org/icare2.htm
:-) Thanks for helping out!
