Well if it's only for a week a dog, else a cat because they're independent and can do what they want. I prefer dogs but then you have to stick around your owners, catch balls and generally try to make them have some fun!!!

Definitely a cat. I would be my cat for a week so I can sleep all day and in between naps, get petted and carried around like a baby.

A dog. More specificly a hunting dog like a Lab. You get to be outside all the time and you get to run and chase stuff, ride in a boat, ride in the truck, dogs LOVE trucks, AND help your hunting buddy. Then when the day is over you get to curl up next to the fire place and sleep with a full belly and do it all over again tomorrow.

A husky in the wilderness free of ticks or fleas, with the greatest owner ever...Running, playing, snoozing, being pampered...
Why wouldn't I be a cat? Cats around here are appetizers to a few of the rougher dogs.

A cat. I wouldn't have to do any stupid tricks for people, I wouldn't have to wait to be let outside to go to the bathroom, and I could be left alone to sleep all day!
