We recently rescued 4 kittens that are 6 weeks old. They are all very healthy and are all brothers. My mom is only allowing us to keep 2, which means we will have to separate them. (we are taking the other two to the Humane Society) Will this be very traumatic for the kittens at this age?
Thanks for any help!

My highly pampered, spoiled, fat, queen-of-the-household female cat, age 2, has taken to pooh-ing on my bed. She has a perfectly clean litter box available, but if I leave my bedroom door open, she hops onto my bed and craps on it! Why?!!!! When I scold her, I swear she looks at me like I'm crazy and it's her privilege to pooh anywhere she pleases. Help me!

I have to give up my cats. I want to find a good home for them, but how do I know that the person has a "good" home. Do I have the right to ask certain things? Like if they have young children? (My cats are not very inclined to spend their time around young kids.) Or how they're going to be providing a good home? I'm really nervous about giving them up, and I know I'm going to cry. But how can I be sure that they're going into a good home, and the person isn't just saying they are?

And any comments about the cats being eaten or any other grossness will be reported. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!!

I moved here 2 yrs ago. My landlord told me the older lady next door was a good christian woman. She had always been nice to me and was always sweet to my kids. Today she said "I'm forewarning you I'm sitting poison out to kill these cats that keeps pookin in my yard. I hate animals, I don't have a dog in this fence cause I don't like stepping in pook and tracking in my house, so you need to keep your cats inside. me:You can't kill my cats that's cruel. her:I know there's a leash law for dogs, there's one for cats too.she's gonna call the humane society. My cats go outside alot. I can't keep them locked in when their use to outdoors too. It got me all upset. I cried my heart out. I love my cats. I grew up with cats.I'v tried to keep them inside, but they run out everytime the door's open. I have 3 cats, and 2 of them are out right now. They've been in all day, so now I can't get them to come back. What can I do?

Caroline's Kids is a no-kill shelter for eldery, injured, sick cats in NE Ohio. Vet bills, care costs, etc....have depleted normal funding, and volunteers have dipped into their own savings to help their "residents"

take a look at their site: http://carolines-kids.org/aboutus.htm be sure to read their Mission, and find "Roger's Fund".

If you can help out with any donation - please do!!!

As those who read my questions know I'm not one to take my kitten in to the vet for every little thing, although he does get his regular check up. But neither am I a uncaring pet owner. I was wondering if any experienced Pet owner or vet tech can give some common symptoms we can look out for some common disease for cats. i,e. FeV, rabies, worms, etc.

I found him on the side of the road, besides being a little skinny and malnourished, he's relatively healthy and happy. He looks like he is trying to pee but can't, and when he does have pee come out its only about the size of a dime, and it has traces of blood. can cats get urinary infections or what. It's a male cat. I scheduled an appointment for him in the morning @ 10:30, but i scheduled it before he was doing this...... HELP!!!! And what do I tell the vet tomorrow, the appointment was only for his regular kitten check- up. I have only had him for 3 days.

So we tried to bring home a kitten earlier today, and that was a no go. We have a black burmese cat who is three years old and believes that he runs the house. He is fixed. So after a few minutes of him hissing and trying to attack the kitten he ran off. I took the kitten to a local no-kill shelter and came home. I took a bath to get the kitten smell off of me and was praying my cat wouldn't still be pissed off at me. He was laying in the window and when I went to pet him he attacked me full force cutting up my nose and hands pretty good. I didn't mean to do this, but I insticlvly hit him and now he is really pissed at me. I didn't mean to hurt him and this is the 1st time in the 3 years we have had him he has ever done this. He will let my husband talk to him, but not touch him now. He is hiding under our bed and has been there most of the day. Everytime I try to lean down to talk to him, he hisses and growls at me. I am so upset, I don't want him to stay mad at me 4-ever.

My cat has little brown dots in his fur, and there are red spots on his skin. His fur is balding, and he freaks out if you touch the area (ihe licks his chest. i dont know why) and there are, like little dead pieces of skin. he just got a flea bath and is wearing a flea collar

This was before the flea bath. So does Frontline works good?

A flea collar has been on for like a week or more,

The flea bath was made for cats and dogs. And, nit didnt work too great... didnt even get the flea poop off.

ANd do you think it is serious enough to take him to the vet?
