Yes, that is true. Female cats ovulate in quite a different way from humans, or even mnay other mammals.
A female cat goes into season "heat", but the acutal release of the egg(s) is triggered by the act of intercourse. A male cat's penis is actually kind of barbed, and intercourse causes pain to the female. She is driven to do it by the need to procreate, even though it hurts. The pain of intercourse triggers the release of one or more eggs. While still in heat, the female may have intercourse with another male, and have a new egg (or more) fertilized by that male. So, a litter of kittens can, and often does, have different fathers, if more that one male had sex with the female.

a cat goes into heat for approx a week at a time several times a year. if left alone with the tomcats, she will b mated with them at least a dozen times. if there r 5 toms, and she has 5 babies then each one of them can have a different father

its like the same with us when we have faternal twins. 2 eggs r released and each one is fertilized on its own. so even we can have 2 kids and 2 different fathers.

They can because they ovulate more than one egg!!!!!! Hence LITTER!!!!! They are induced ovulators also, so when they are in heat the breeding act causes ovulation!!!!!!! There can be several fathers!!!!!!!!
Maybe getting the cat fixed, or not letting it out is a good answer!!!
I don't think the male had to do much to "get to her"!!!!

it is true

please spay your cat.. spayed cats have fewer health problems..

dont give kittens away - its a proven fact that less than 40% of all "free to good home" kittens actually find good homes - how are you going to screen people to see if they are good homes???

take the kittens to the SPCA when they are 7 weeks old.. and spay the mom.. in fact you can have her spayed now
