My highly pampered, spoiled, fat, queen-of-the-household female cat, age 2, has taken to pooh-ing on my bed. She has a perfectly clean litter box available, but if I leave my bedroom door open, she hops onto my bed and craps on it! Why?!!!! When I scold her, I swear she looks at me like I'm crazy and it's her privilege to pooh anywhere she pleases. Help me!

She's telling you "I am sick! Please take me to the vet"

Seriousily...a cat will start going outside of their box when they are ill. Take her in and get her checked out...

Other than a health problem that you may want to have a vet look into, there could be a change of enviornment thats got her stressed out. Cats tend to get 'moody' when their surroundings are changed, moved around, or just more additions to the fmaily, vacations too. Think if there's been any new changes n the household. If so, try to help her adjust to the new transition. Was she always allowed into the bedrooms? Maybe she's upset that she can no longer so is lashing out.

For one I would close the door to your room. Move anything that the cat needs to another place in the abode you live in.

The cat could smell pee or poo from a previous episode and believes that is the place to pee and/or poo. The are creatures of extreme habit.

Another probably popular reason would be that it is mad at you. When does it do its duty? When you are gone? After you correct it? It could be because it is feeling ignored. These are just possibilities.

There are ways to stop this, but the best thing is to catch it in the act and squirt it with water. This works better with young cats then older ones. The best advise is to close the door. Pets like babies are opportunists, leave the door open to an opportunity and they will take it every time.

This could be a sign that your cat is sick, if nothing else in your household has changed recently. If my cat did that, I would take him to the vet the next day for a checkup.

Vet should be the first call. Cats can have a lot of health issues that manifest in litterbox issues.

She sounds like a liberal person, and must have acquired the condition, somehow.
