The mother should still have milk, unless there is a problem. You can try different brands of kitten formula, or even evaporated milk is okay. You should call your local vet tomorrow and ask what you can do, because you don't want the kitten to starve to death.

Did you bring the kitten home from some where or was it a stray. If you bought the kitten some where, call and see if the mother is available to continue nursing. 4 weeks to to early to be seperated and introduced to a new family. Also, there is a "gruel" you can buy at pet stores, as a supplement from the typical kitten milk. Try giving the baby jsut water- he might be fine on just that. Just be warned, 4 week old kittnes can get dehydrated EXTREMELY fast. Keep an eye on that.

You should keep the kitten on milk for at least 5 weeks and you can slowly mix dry food in. If the kitten is not drinking the milk and wont eat the dry food. You must take the eyedropper open up the mouth and squeeze it in. Force feed it basically. When shes done eating the belly will fill full and tight. Also i recommend check it out with a vet.

At four weeks a kitten is not ready to lap up milk from a saucer or bowl, it needs to be bottle-fed. The mother should still have milk, but if she doesn't then put the warm kitten formula in a bottle and prepare to play mommy to the kitten.

if she is still with her mom the mom should still be producing milk...
kitten formula - you mean KMR?? I hope so because the other stuff is crap, milk treats for kittens and has no nutritional value...
if you have recently started bottle feeding it, then it may not like the bottle, or the milk is too hot or too cold you have to initially force them to drink.. but again - why isnt she drinking from her mom???
the mom should be spayed ASAP also - if you love your cat you would spay her.. spayed cats have fewer health risks
talk to a vet.. if the kitten dies because you didnt seek professional help you will be sad...

The kitten can be eating a good quality canned food mixed with warm water. You can also offer good dry food that has been soaked in hot water until it is mushy. Weaning is usually complete by 6 weeks.
