I have two cats, a seven year old female who is extremely unfriendly, and a one year old male who loves being the center of attention and cries when he isn't the center of attention. I was wondering if there was a psychological reason that male cats and female cats act differently when it comes to attention.

I got a new cat on Monday of this week and her,she is about 2 years old, and my other cat, which is about 5 years old, aren't getting along, I know that you have to wait for like a month until they are friends, but my other cat looks depressed!! We got the new cat so she would have someone to play with when we are gone during the day. We've had the older cat for 2 years and she has always been alone. But now with the new cat, she is depressed and wont come near us!! She looks like she wants to be friends with the newer one, but the newer one will hiss everytime she comes near her!!
So my question is, Will the both of them get over it or did I make a mistake getting the other cat?? Please only people that have dealt with a problem like this please answer, I need real help!!

As a joke I held a piece of corn out to my cat, and she ate it. She ate 3 little pieces of corn and 2 lima beans. Is this okay for her? I'm just concerned about her getting sick.

I have 2 dogs outside and 1 cat indoors/out. Im 30 yrs old and have my own house w/wife n kids. But when i was young, i used to talk to my uncle about how i like pets. When i talked to him about dogs he said, tight. but to cats, he said that cats are for girls only and dogs for boys mostly. Is that true. Also, if dogs were more for boys, then why do so many gurlz like dogs more den cats. Thanks n 10 pts for best answer.

He is a four year old male... he marks in the same 4 places over and over again... we tried everything the vet asked us to... and we even treated him with antibiotics for a possible urinary tract infection...

he was a stray cat with seperation problems (abandoned from his mother too early)

we tried everything... we put things in the places so he doesn't mark there and he goes anyway!

WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!

and if it doesn't work out, what can i do with my cat if i want to give him away?!??!?!?

We have been to the vet several times, and I had to put a salve in her eye twice a day for two weeks, and that didn't help. Next, we tried eye drops four times a day. Those didn't help either. Her actual eye is fine, but the lid above and next to her eye is very swollen. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

I don't understand why my cat insists on hiding anywhere she can (in places that I can't see her), and once I pass by she launches herself up like 20 feet in the air and tries to bite off my head. Sometimes she does wall kicks to get more air. Regardless of the height of the jump, it always results in a vicious bite on various parts of my body along w/ clawing and scratching.
