As a joke I held a piece of corn out to my cat, and she ate it. She ate 3 little pieces of corn and 2 lima beans. Is this okay for her? I'm just concerned about her getting sick.

Vegetables are actually healthy for dogs and cats. In the wild they don't always eat only raw meat. They eat fruits and vegetables and grass too. My dog likes to eat raspberries- she picks them by herself so very carefully. :) If your cat likes veggies good for her! :)

If a cat likes vegetables, and shows no sign of physical illness, it's probably fine. You might want to try pureed veggies, like baby food, and see how that goes. Bulky roughage, like corn, might not digest too well if you overdo it.

Although cats like the taste of milk, they really can't digest it and it often gives them diarrhea. Another thing you should NEVER, ever offer a cat or dog is chocolate. It can kill them by affecting their heart & kidneys.

Cats are obligate carnivores -- that means they eat meat, not vegetables or fruits. A wild cat will starve in the wild before eating any plant food.
That doesn't mean your house cat can't enjoy some fruits or vegetables Supposedly some cats love cantaloupe, some adore olives. As kittens my cats liked to sample my applesauce and mashed potatoes. They are not attracted to any people food now.

Don't let them eat salty lunch meats, potato chips and human junk food in general. That can give them tummy upsets.

Small amounts are fine. Just make sure she is eating her regular cat food too in order to get all the vitamins/minerals she needs to be healthy. My cats won't eat anything but cat food. One of them does occasionally but usually throws up later. Lately they've been enjoying the dog's food though and I have to discourage this because I know dog food lacks somethings cats really need for their eyes.

yeah, veggies are fine for cats. cats are pretty smart; they don't usually eat anything that will harm them. Except my mom's cat, but he's more like a dog.

those are fine, my dog loves carrots and broccoli, i asked my vet and he said that fresh fruits and veggies are good to give to your pets but they should be raw or not in any sauces or stuff like that, just plain is good.

No, your cat will be fine...she wont eat too much if she doesn't like it, but cats are primarily carnivores.
