HELP! We got a kitten 2 weeks ago and was told it was female. So after much fighting we named her Nala. Went to the vet today and doc said its a MALE!!!! Now we need a new name. He is different shades of orange! Thanks for everyone help!

My 1 year old cat is due to have her babies any day now. I am wondering if there is anything special I should feed her/give to her? Can she have milk? Should she have vitamins? And, how old will the babies be before they start eating/drinking on their own? Should they start with milk and soft food?

A food or water bowl?
I left some big plastic bowls out with food and water when we went out of town last week. Now he is constantly licking and scratching himself He has scabs and makes himself bleed. I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow, but could the plastic bowl be the cause?

My cat, Calie, had her first litter of kittens on Feb. 21. We ended up keeping two of them. Calie is now pregnant again, we really dont know how she got the chance to since she is inside but it happened. Anyways, The kittens she had in feb are trying to nurse now that she is producing milk again. Sometimes she will let them. Is this Okay for her and the unborn kittens? Should we let them do it or stop them?

if i keep her in the bedroom with me then she runs around and pounces on me and plays with the blinds and is up all night, if i put her outside of the room then she throws her body against the door to get in and cries at the door. i tried putting her in a kennel but she just cries and chews on it and now she is destroying her teeth, what should i do with her? I haven't slept in days!

I sent my female cat to the vet to be spayed at 6am this morning. To my surprise she had a kitten we did not find til 1pm. When my cat was at the vet we found out she had feline lukemia and they euthanized her. Now I have her kitten I took it to the vet he said it looked to be 3-4 weeks old. I purchased milk supplement and a bottle for it but it hasn't took much. It does have teeth ive tried to get it to drink out of a bowl it bites the side but won't drink. This is my first time trying to care for an orphaned kitten this young any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

My two kittens seem to poop everywhere, even in the litter box but everywhere else to. we tried keeping them in a room with the litter and food during the day but when they come out the poop somewhere else..i don't understand, how much can they poop in one day?? How to get them to just poop and pee in the litter???

My cat likes one blanket that is real soft... She gets on it and, will sstart nursing on it.. like a baby.........Why do they do this ???

I don't know what it's make out of the tages R not in it. it's really light wt. but still keeps you very warm, with out all the wt.
My grandfather got it for me many years ago. He has pasted away now................That is one really dont what to cut it up.........

I would have to say the day my cat got his head stuck in a klennex box. I was watching tv and all of a sudden here comes my cat zipping backwards. To my amazement his head is stuck in a kleenex box. I was laughing so hard I couldn't even help him. He finally back up between the chair and the table and got it off himself. Later that day I put the box in the middle of the room and he almost did it to himself again. Man, I still get tears in my eyes to this day thinking about it.

We have 4 cats and the newest one came on Mothers day this year. One of the females and the male have started spraying like mad and only around the windows. Could it be because there are several cats, and one male in paticular, hanging around the house that are strays. I feel like I want to call Animal control but I dont want too because I love cats. What to do....

Alright my 7 week old kitten never stops crying. She always wants to be on your lap and you can pick her up and put her on the floor or in her bed 100 times and she'll just run right back up to you and jump on your lap, and if you dont let her she crys. And when you go to get up to walk somewhere she climbs up your pant leg, and hangs on as your walking around the house. is there anything i can do to get her to stop? I've tryed a spary bottle so when shes bad, i spray her. but she doesn't seem to understand. And when i put her down i feel bad. help?

This will sound like a joke, but it's not. My cat poops in our bathtub. Every day. On the very same spot in the tub. EVERY DAY. We're religious about cleaning her box, and it doesn't seem to be a response to anything else. We have another cat (also female), and they get along well and play together a lot. We keep the door closed most of the time, but it's the kids' bathroom and they don't always remember. My husband is literally ready to beat her into submission, but I don't really feel like that works. Any suggestions?

My place backs up to Tonto Nat. Forrest. I see Elk, Coyotes, skunks and quail. I have 2 dogs and have a doggie door so I can't keep the cat in. She was a ferral cat as a baby and seems to have no fear. I lock everyone up at night because of the bears and stuff. There are 2 Javelina that keep coming around and they actually challenge my big dog (95 lbs.) through the fence. I yell and throw stuff but they act like I'm not there. I am afraid to go for walks because they show up whenever they want and seem to be fearless. My cat was laying no more than 2 feet away from the Javelina and they paid no attention to her. I ran outside with my BB gun and the sound scare them off. They were back within minutes. Any suggestion on how to rid them from hanging out in my back. It's the forrest and I know they are there and please don't suggest shooting them because they are not in season and you have to be picked for hunting Javelina. Do they attack people?
