Nothing comes from just holding them, it's either from the mother or something else, but for god's sake, take him or her to the vet, it could be something way more serious - and animals can't talk and tell us what's wrong, that's why i encourage you to take it to the vet = please?

Certainly not holding it too much. You can never hold a kitten too much. The kitten more than likely got the worms from breast feeding off it's Mother. Mama kitty killed a bird or somehow came in contact with some species that had the worms. They are easily treatable. Call the Vet.

Good luck

You cannot give your kitten worms by holding it. They get worms from the mother or the other kittens. Best to have all of them de-wormed before they go out to homes. Worms can cause many other underlying problems

Hi Ashley --

No. You can't give a kitten worms by holding it too much. If your kittens have worms, they were probably born with them. Once they are a little older, there are plenty of de-worming treatments you can get from your vet or at a pet store.

Hope you enjoy the kittens!

No, a kitten can't get worms from holding it too much.

Don't worry. Your kitten will be fine. keep being affectionate to it.

You can easily give a tablet to your kitten that will get rid of worms. They are very common in cats and nothing to worry about.

Ask your vet or buy in a store and check instructions. I think your kitten needs to be over 12 weks old before you worm her.

It will be fine.

They cannot get worms from holding back. They get it from other animals who have worms. They can also get it from going outside and from using the litter box if they share with another cat who has worms. They have to actually come into contact with the worms or the eggs.

only the mom can give the kitten worms because you can't give it worms by holding it to much and you need to deworm the mom and the kittens if you can and make sure you can worm them if they are old enough

The kitten could get worms from it's mother, or from fleas, or from eating something with larvae in it. It CAN NOT get worms from being held.

I've always heard that cats can get worms from the soil they come in contact with. Best to get a wormer from the vet or a good one from the store.
