My cat, Calie, had her first litter of kittens on Feb. 21. We ended up keeping two of them. Calie is now pregnant again, we really dont know how she got the chance to since she is inside but it happened. Anyways, The kittens she had in feb are trying to nurse now that she is producing milk again. Sometimes she will let them. Is this Okay for her and the unborn kittens? Should we let them do it or stop them?

First of all -- how long did you keep the other kittens. Because if you had unaltered males -- guess what!!! Mother and son made babies, if she for sure didn't go outside!!! A male 3-4 months CAN make babies, and mommy would have gone back into heat shortly after nursing, and the timing's right because of when spring & summer hit. If she had them in February, the little boys absolutely could be making babies now. (I went through this last year, and my one little boy impregnated his sister, who hadn't even gone into heat yet. THAT was a surprise from the vet after the spaying!!! All of them, btw, were "too young" -- but it happened.)

I would talk to your vet about both situations. I wouldn't think the nursing would be a big issue if she's allowing it EXCEPT that she's got a lot of her energy reserves/nutrition going towards making babies, AND nursing also takes a lot out of the mother cat, so both going on at once may not be a good idea. Either way, if you're not already doing so, you need to be feeding her a good quality KITTEN food during the prenancy and up until she stops nursing ALL of them, at least.

Please get that kitty spayed as soon as she weans this next batch, as well as spay and neuter the rest of them.

Well she could have gotten pregnant from one of her kittens. They are 4 months old now. The cat reaches sexual maturity at 4-6 months for males and 5-8 months in females. I work in an animal hospital and this has happened to a couple of people. Female cats are seasonal meaning that you don't know when she's in heat and she can get pregnant again as soon as she gives birth. It wouldn't hurt to let them nurse on her but they should be weaned by now to not do that. You should try to stop them from doing that. Also I would spay her as soon as she wean this litter which is about 4-6 weeks after birth and get her older kittens spayed and neutered now they are old enough.

Separate them and get Calie fixed as soon as you can to prevent more unwanted kittens.

She probably got pregnant from one of her kittens, it can happen. If they're trying to feed off of her, seperate them. It's not a bad thing, but it might be once she has the new kittens, the other ones might not let them feed.
