If there is no infection you can get away with cleaning gently with water and a cloth. If they have an infection in their eyes then they should go to a vet so they can receive antibiotics.

Human eyedrops such as polysporin are fine. Worked on my cat. But if it doesn't clear up in about 3 days, see a vet.

if i was you take your cat into the vet if its eye is infected it will cause his/her eye to rupture eventually you might have to put him down if this is the case.
