I have a 2 yr. old white faced male that has a all white face with a grey body. He sits on your shoulder, loves his head scratched, whistles beautiful tunes and says several phrases but he doe nip if he doesn't want to go back into his cage. I have a 1 yr. old yellow lutino female who is an absolute sweetie who will sit on your shoulder all day long and loves her head scratched. She is very affectionate but can be moody, she'll nip but never hard. I also have an almost all white female with a couple patches of grey who I call "Baby", she is also 1 yr. old. I might keep the yellow female. I'd like to sell the male and female together since they love each other. I have nicely sized cages and toys for them. I have to get rid of atleast the oldest male because they have gotten way too noisy and my Mom can no longer tolerate them. Would $100 for both with a cage and supplies plus a $10 care book be a good deal?

We have laying hens and they lay a few eggs everyday. Of course we go out there everyday and get the eggs, wash them off, and refrigrate them right away. We have some from a few weeks ago, are those still good?

My friend recently gave me her two cockatiels. She is ill and can't take care of them. She really doesn't seem to know much about caring for them. She feeds them parakeet food. Even I know thats wrong. I need advice on everything. I don't even know if they are male or female. Can anyone help?

My parakeet has been scratching+biting himself and fluffing his feathers a lot (we just got him a few days ago). I'm thinking he probably has some kind of birdie lice, yes? So, assuming it is something like that, how should I go about treating him? And could it be something other than "birdie lice"?

I've had my 1 yr. old female for 3 weeks. She seems to have settled in and talks all the time. I feel we have bonded, but she still won't willingly step up for me. I have to sort of trick her into it by holding my hand in front of her cage door (so she won't go back inside). I don't want her to fear me. I know it's still early on, how much time does it take to adjust?

Are ducks/geese killed to get feathers for down, or are they collected, or plucked, or is there some method I'm not even considering?

Is it really true when you put two ringnecks in the same area, they will not talk? We babysit my friends ringneck for two weeks. Our ringneck started talking more and like playing with the other parrot. We are thingking of getting him a partner/friend. Is this a good idea?

I always feed the wild birds in the winter months and have started leaving fat balls out for them again. The magpies, however, steel the fat balls leaving nothing for any of the others. I am happy for them to feed too but how can I make sure all ther little birds still have food?
