We have laying hens and they lay a few eggs everyday. Of course we go out there everyday and get the eggs, wash them off, and refrigrate them right away. We have some from a few weeks ago, are those still good?

As long as the eggs are refrigerated properly, they can last for a few months. I've had no problem with eggs that I've kept for up to four months. After that they start to dehydrate and lose consistency.

I don't know the answer, but have an idea how to find out. At the grocery store pick up a carton of eggs and look for the "good if used by" date. That will indicate a pretty safe rule of thumb for you. If you weren't refrigerating yours, then the life would be much shorter.

Q. How long will eggs save? A. clean eggs, that are saved refrigerated, will final 4 to 5 weeks. uncooked whites (out of the shell) will save as much as 4 days if refrigerated in a tightly closed field. Unbroken uncooked yolk could be lined with water in a tightly closed refrigerated field and used interior a million to 2 days.

Eggs last a very long time. I'm sure your eggs from a few weeks ago are good. Also if you crack open the egg and it doesn't look right don't eat it.

So long as they're kept refrigerated and the shells are not damaged, they'll last you at least a month or two.
