I have six budgies, who i talk to alot, and they chatter back,
today i had this thought of do they really like this or is it distressing for them, everyone seems to think birds like to be talked to,but i'm now wondering if this is really true
i know birds are social with each other ,this is their normal behaviour, but do they like us humans as much ?

I have a 1 week old chicken egg that may be fertile. I've been keeping it warm using a homemade incubator I made myself using a plastic box, towels, a heating pad and a small container of water for humdity. I had planned to tell my parents about the egg but my Mom found the incubator today and seemed a little upset.

I explained to both of my parents about the egg everything is ok, but now that my Mom has taken apart the incubator and has taken back the heating pad, how do I keep the egg warm now? I DON'T have a heat lamp and I don't think asking for the heating pad back is a good idea right now.

Can anyone give me any suggestions on keeping this egg warm?

I only have another 10 days before it possibly hatches and I would like some advice on how to continue incubating it.

I saw two birds on my porch and one kept opening its beak and the other one just seem to "kiss " the beak; they did not have any food and afterwards the bird who had its beak open fluttered its wings. They were maybe wrens. Were they in fact, making out?

I had planeed to buy Gouldian Finches to put it in but I've been told they are too delicate to survie here in Ireland. Could anyone recommend a type of bird that is not all that common and is resonably easy to breed and hardy. I do not want ot get common birds like budgies or canaries ect......and I'd like somthing that is colorfull and lively. I'm willing to spend quiet a bit of money on getting a few pairs of birds but not a rediculous amount.......could anyone reccomend a particular type of bird that you think would be enjoyable to keep? A man I know suggested lovebirds and I'm thinking they might be a good choice, but I'd love some more suggestions....thanks.

Hello,
My name is Melissa Bird. For a science project I wish to colour chickens, I've been told that to do this you either feed young chickens food coloured water or inject them while they're still eggs. I've seen pictures on the internet of coloured chickens but no one is willing to tell me how this happens, please help!

We got the bird off the paper, but now he's covered in the sticky goop and we can't get it off. The package said to use soap and water, but it's not helping. What can we do?

I have a one week old possibly fertile chicken egg I've been incubating since June 24, the due date it'll possibly hatch on is July 14th. But what I want to know is what are the chances of the egg possibly hatching if I'm not at home on July 14th?

I really want to know this because I'm hoping I'll be at home if it starts hatching incase the chick may have a problem, so what are the chances of this egg possibly hatching if I'm not at home?

I have 1 week old possibly fertile chicken egg I've been keeping warm in a homemade incubator, I have candled it and it is dark on the inside. Here's what's up, I haven't told my parents or older sister about the egg, I'm concerned they may make me get rid of it before it possibly hatches. I do plan to tell them if the egg hatches, but my problem is some people think should stop incubating the egg since I don't have the right home for it.

But here's a description of where I live

I live in a 3 story townhouse complex in Henderson, NV(in short I live in Las Vegas). Our complex is still under construction and there really isn't an outdoor area the chick can go to or live in. We don't have a backyard just a balcony. We live in a 3 bed room townhouse. But most people think the chick will be miserable if it stays in the house or I can't find the right home for it. Also some other people think I should stop incubating the egg if I can't care for it, so should I do it or not?
