sometimes, yes. Robins aren't too picky about where they nest. sometimes they nest in some pretty stupid places, actually. Cardinals do this too. often, if the nest doesn't survive the whole year, they'll still nest in the exact same place and build a new one. we had a pair of Cardinals do this for several years.

I don't know about a robin, but last year some birds built a nest above our outside door, sitting on top of it. They were gone ever since then until this year. The birds came back and had babies and now they are all gone again.

Most birds rebuild a new nest....but SOME will reuse the same nest again, however using the same nest will make it more vulnerable to predators and smells from the previous nestlings may still linger.

Its highly likey, yes.Robins have a strong urge to return to the same nest.

MALE robins always return to the yard that they were born in the previous year. have you ever seen two male robins fighting in your yard???? those are brothers that have returned to mate and use the same yard they were Born in...they are Territorial birds. females will not return but the males will.yes..they are picky on where they have their families at........m
