Okay, so I have been feeding Flint River Ranch dry cat food for awhile and now my cat has a UTI. There is blood in the urine but no crystals. I am going to feed only wet food from now on. I have cans of Wellness and Merrick in the cabinet now. Which one do you recommend? Both my cats like Merrick a little but completely turned their nose up at Wellness. What is your feeling on these two?

Most of the cats we've ever had didn't need much training. Just show them the box and nature takes over. But we've got a new kitten that seems terrified of the cat box. We've bought him a small one so it won't seem so overwhelming, but he still acts like we're trying to stuff him in a box when we put him in it. He's doing his business all over the house and all around his box but WILL NOT go in his box. What do I do???

She is 8 years old, spayed, and we have had her since she was a kitten. In the last few months she has occatinally started freaking out about her tail. She will usually start by agressivly licking the base of her tail, but it is like it is hard for her to do it, like she is thinking about running away from it, then she will sprint around the house a few times, obviously trying to escape her tail. She stops and lays down in front of me like she wants help. I have found that if I scratch it is seems to make it worse, but if I rub her hips firmly it seems to help. The problem is it seems to be getting worse, I don't know if it is the change in season, but she is an indoor cat so that shouldn't matter. I would take her to the vet, but I don't want to if there just gonna say, it may be, it might be, try this....
Any ideas, anyone?

Any santuraries for an aggresive dog in the U.S.? I need to get rid of this dog I've been fostering. He was abused and neglected. He acts very weird at times and would deffinitely not be a family dog. No dog rescues will help me because he has broken skin on accident while going after another dog and bared his teeth at a child. I was wondering first if any retired, experianced couple without children or other pets preferrably around the Omaha, NE area are interested. Swcond perhaps there is an animal santuary where animals live mostly independently. PLEASE email me if you can help me in any way. ANYONE! If I can't find a place for him before Christmas I will have to euthanize him.

The puppy died of Parvo. For the winter, they have it in their garage and plan on burying it when it gets warmer. Is that safe for the family?

Now that any and all stigma against homosexuality has been beaten down by the homomafia and indoctrinated into our children's brains since the early 90s, we have another phenomenon which is more recent.. And that is this curious love affair people have with their pets - especially dogs. I have never seen such a strange and striking change in how Americans perceive their pets.
Now that it's legal for homos to wed, and now that everyone thinks a dog is part of the family, something to love and sleep in your bed, etc...
Are we heading toward legally sanctioned bestiality?
And if pets are part of the family, is this not also legally sanctioned incestuous bestiality. And finally, since dogs are mature at age 1, is this not legally sanctioned incestuous bestiality 'pup'dephelia?

4 weeks ago this stray arrived at my doorstep and I decided to keep her. I have been feeding her iams, friskies, science diet, and purina cat chow.
My best friend fosters stray cats and kittens. I told her about how about my new cat. She asked me immediatly what I feed her and when I told her I fed purinaiams, and science diet, she said that all those foods have nothing but junk like corn, wheat, soy, and low quality animal parts and other fillers. she told me holistic cat food and occasional raw meat was much healthier.
I'm not sure if I should beleive it or not. She is pretty good with cats and she has owned cats for her whole life as well as exotic cats.(not tigers and lions but bengal and savvanh cats)

i'm not sure what to do. Can I have some opinions?

One of the people in my family gave our dog (shih-tzu) scambled egg without knowing the effects so now our dog is sick. We feed them dog food as meals of course but I'm asking about the occasional sidetable scraps people give their dogs when they start begging. I know we're not supposed to feed them onion, chocolate and egg yolks. Anything else?

Thanks.

I'm looking 4 info about mating & breeding her - There are not many wirehaired here in cape town. I have had many requests for her puppies.I know much about them but need to know more about mating.
My response,to Corgi girl and Jo B - I am passionate about dogs - am actively involved in the SPCA - I rescue dogs and cats - am pro neutering/spaying stray animals etc - but my dog is a pedigree and the mini wirehaired are much sought after - Breeding is not wrong so i take offense - If we didn't breed - there would be no animals left. My dog is my life - she is well loved & looked after - fed, walked, played with you name it - Why Corgi Girl are you so against this - sure - a stray - cats specifically - neuter/splay but a Pedigree Miniature Wirehaired Daschund..????? I wonder what the Daschund Breeders would have to say to your comments - so anyone else with the right attitude to "proper loving breeding" I'd love to hear from you. Corgi Girl - I mean no offense to you personally.

I have heard more and more lately that they are using them as a house breaking tool. Do they think its a kid and they won't like being wet or something? or is it just laziness?
Oh BTW, I mean though ones you get at the pet store, not actual baby diapers.

okay so i have two kittens, one is 3 months the other is 4 months, i did a food shop today and i thought it made more sense to bulk buy their food as it works out cheaper and lasts longer. they have been eating kitten food all along and today i could have sworn i picked up the kitten food but i must have picked up the regular cat food. so ive just bought 40 pouches of food i now cant use. i just wondered if it'd b ok to feed them the cat food??? and if anyone else has done this? thanks

I know its really by word of mouth because one guy has pure bred puppies and offered one to me for 500 dollars...lol it would of been differant if it was a large dog breed I never liked small dogs, plus I heard there joints get all messed up.

In six weeks I plan on getting a puppy and am not sure which breed is better.

We live in a house.
Am active somewhat and don't mind taking my dog out any time.
And I plan on taking him/her to puppy school here.

But for anyone in Florida do you know of someone?
My price range is $0-$250, maybe $300 depending on the breed.
