What memories do you have of him/her? What kind was it?

The one I have now creates so much current that it literally spits water all over the lid of the tank, and then it it drips over the edge.

Its a small sized elite - in a three gallon aquarium.

Any ideas?

Specifically in what to look for? Someone has abandoned their pet cat in the apartment complex I live in, and she snuck into mine when I opened the door.

I can't keep her :(

If I did I'd have to spend a large amount of money according to the terms of my lease, or I'd have violated it and have 3 days to move. I'm already filing bankruptcy and I have nothing left. I couldn't afford cat food let alone the vet bills, but I cant just let her die outside.

Im, looking into no kill shelters but I have no experience with them, and I'm uncertain what to look for. Some of those places are pretty bad off. I'm living in central Ohio if it helps.

I am due in May, and I have a male english springer. he is wonderful with children, and very gentle with anything smaller than him. However, he has never had to "compete" for my attention... He is neutered, and very well exercised, as I normally take him for a long run or at least play fetch with him for an hour a day.

When the baby comes home, what special measures do I have to take to make sure he does not get jealous of it? What are the chances that he will show aggression? (He has never once even growled at a human being as of yet)..

my dog (bichon frise) has microvascular dysplasia, something with the liver

he is only allowed to eat Hill's L/d

if he doesnt eat L/d, he will die as it is his medicine/food

sadly, he doesn't like the food's taste and has not eaten for the whole day..

lost of appetite is normal for his condition and I tried giving L/d to a healthy dog and he didn't even like it aswell

if i feed my dog chicken or other human food, he eats it but vomits it after a few hours

i have tried giving him the canned L/d and heated it in the microwave for him but still no luck

i have tried another brand which is royal canine and still no luck

i even fried and boiled chicken bones so he can smell it around the house to increase his appetite

i placed some chicken meat along with the dog food, he eats the dog food and the chicken, but vomits the chicken and the dog food aswell

is it ok to force feed my dog L/d for the rest of his life?

I went to a xmas party from 6pm to 10pm and when we got home, one of my dogs was holding a bloody rabbits leg, apperently they ate the whole body. My mom says their rabies vacines are still up to date with their shots but she says it was a while ago. My mom isnt really the worrying type and wont call the vet. What can a 13 yr old do?? Are there any home remedies to help get rid of the bacteria and help them poop out the germs?

Everytime I go to leave my dog goes nuts. He barks and cries and if he'll never see me again. I've tried giving treats to distract him but this doesn't work. I've tried locking him in another room so he doesn't see me going but he seems to know when i'm leaving. I've evn tried putting my bag and coat outside so he doesn't see me getting dressed and ready to leave. I can go to the door to get the mail or take out the garbage and this has no reaction but he seems to know that when i'm going to the door to leave him behind. any tips from anyone.

Well, my dog has gone through alot of harnesses/collars very quickly.. He snapped off the snap on his snap-on collars, managed to somehow mess up his classic belt style buckle nylon collar so it could no longer be tightened/loosened, and the two harnesses we bought him he stretched completely out of wack within 1-2 weeks of wearing them.. I'm guessing the harnesses got stretched because they are around his chest, and he's strongest at the chest when pulling.. But the harnesses were also ALOT harder for him to slip out of than the collars. Also easier to grab him in the rare occurence that he bolted and needed to be captured.. but collars aren't stretched out as easily. I don't know if it's just the style or the brand I've messed up with, but I'm asking you what style, and what brand of collar/harness have you had the best luck with?

My dog ate about a third of the tube of neosporin. I have no idea what it made it so appealing to make her grab it off the table. She wont even eat her toys or bones. x_x

She is acting fine right now, and I'm kinda uneasy if I should take her in or not to the emergency vet. I googled it, and some places say its fine,.. one said it could kill intestinal bacteria, and she will have digestive problems for a few days..
I called animal poison control, but they won't even talk to me unless I pay 55$.[Which btw I think is rediculous, I have donated before to the ASPCA, they should be able to help out dogs in need.]
I called the poison control for humans, they said for people to just drink some juice and keep an eye out.
Think I should just do the same with my dog?

btw She is a 70lb flat coated retriever.
Thankyou.

So I peruse the for sale ads and see some weird crosses.

Why would you purposely breed a TWH to say an arab etc.

Or other crosses

What crosses that shouldn't be have you seen and made you go ummmmm.........

Just out of curiosity, have you ever seen a Parelli trained horse ever in a leverage bit?

Or

Shown in high level shows and successfully won?

Not debating, just wondering.

my dog can not open his mouth all the way...his jaw is not loose,he has no other syptoms of any disease...he just can't open his mouth,he can't even yawn,we had to soak his food in water,so he could try and eat it,which it worked,he can slightly open it,but it's like it stops, and his bones on the side of his face are sticking out,it won't wiggle, and he is not whining like it hurts.

Currently have a 23 gallon tank and may be upgrading to a 38 gallon tank. My 23 gallon tank currently has 4 turban snails,6 hermit crabs and 2 clown fish, with about 30 pounds of live rock. I have had this tank for 1 month now, and am wondering what type of fish I should get for a 23 gallon tank should I decide not to upgrade, or a 38 gallon tank if I choose to upgrade. HELP WILL GREATLY BE APPRECIATED!!!!

I'm getting a puppy and the mother (Australian Silky Terrier) of this puppy has sensitive skin. The father is a Bichon Frise and I am not sure if he has sensitive skin. So there is a chance my puppy will have sensitive skin as well and as a precaution I am going to use Dermaleen to start with but Dermaleen doesn't have a flea treatment in it so what is safe to use on a puppy with sensitive skin to prevent fleas? (please only suggest brands available in New Zealand)

My puppy will be 6 Weeks on the 19/12/07.

Thanks :D

I am currently looking for a new filter for my African Albino Clawed Frogs. The one I am most interested in is called the repto filter by tetra and what I wanna know is, is this a submersible filter the descriptions aren't clear. And also will it disrupt the water a lot or will it stay still for the most part?

I have 4 neon tetras and 2 algae eaters. One of the neon tetras has lost some color (not as brilliant as before) and he's twitching. He twitches in one spot for awhile and swims (twitching) and goes back to twitching in one spot. My husband takes care of the tank all the time. We've had them for almost 5-6 months I believe. None of the other fish are doing this, just the one tetras.
