None. A 5.6L tank isn't even big enough for a betta or a guppy, since that is too small for most any kind of filter and/or heater.

If you want to use the outdated and inaccurate "1 inch rule," even the smallest baby goldfish are already outgrowing that tank when you buy them. And they grow fast, poop lots, and just will not live for long in that tiny tank.

Please don't do it. If you want healthy, beautiful goldfish, you need to buy a tank more in the size range of 40-75L.

Sounds more like a bowl than a tank. Goldfish need at least a 30 gallon tank and some need 125 gallons. Yours is a little less than 1.5 gallons.

ZERO

One goldfish needs AT LEAST a 10 gallon tank (~37L), but I would feel more comfortable with one in a 15 gallon (~55L).

Try a betta.

PS. Pinkaholic, that rule does hold true for most tropical fish, but for goldfish the rule is TWO gallons for every inch of their body. Since they are so dirty, they need more water to dilute the ammount of ammonia and nitrate they produce.

10. if you want them to suffer. 1 goldfish needs 10 gallons. What about 20 fry? Trust me.

Don't get a goldfish - get guppies! You could probably have two or three guppies in that tank. Otherwise, try a betta. It's just too small for goldfish.

Zero. Well, technically they will fit. I mean to say zero fish will survive in that tank. Sorry.

It's one inch of fish per gallon of water. No matter what type of fish it is. I know this is gonna sound corny but I used to show fish in 4-H and that was the rule.

You can put about 5 fish in there. But what will fit, well, you could probably put at least 200, if not more. But they would not be healthy.

It's recommended that you have no more than an inch of fish per gallon of water.
