Okay, so I have been feeding Flint River Ranch dry cat food for awhile and now my cat has a UTI. There is blood in the urine but no crystals. I am going to feed only wet food from now on. I have cans of Wellness and Merrick in the cabinet now. Which one do you recommend? Both my cats like Merrick a little but completely turned their nose up at Wellness. What is your feeling on these two?

They are both good quality foods, but different cats have different tastes, just like us. I try different foods and my cat seems to like a certain brand/flavor, so I keep buying it, then she gets tired of it and won't eat it anymore. So now, I buy a variety of canned foods at the pet store. These are typically better quality foods than at the supermarket. By feeding a variety of foods, I think my cat gets a balanced diet and it seems to keep up her interest in food.
Your cat also needs to be treated for the UTI.

If your cat has a UTI, it needs MEDICATION!!!!!!! Then, to prevent this from happening again, get a urinary food, and feed that to the cat.
