I took a four month old cat from my sister, because she was moving. The second i pryed it out of the car and into my hands, it began to scratch me and it hid somewhere in the garage. My garage is very messy, and has MANY places to hide. On top of that, the flourecent lights in the garage went out, so I can only see during the day, with the garage open and soemone watching to see if it runs out. It hasn't eaten since last night, but I did leave water out, but I dont think it drank any. It must be pooping and peeing right there on the floor. I don't know what to do. IM A DOG PERSON! I dont know what to do with a cat or how to find it. I can't put food out through the night, or for more then a couple minutes, because then I will get roaches and rats. Ew. Please help me; I don't want to fidn a dead cat in my garage.

Initially we had wanted to breed our two chihuahuas, but not till the 2nd heat at least. well now, that the female is in heat (1st), the male is soooo clingy, he whines when he is not by her, or sometimes he whines when hes by her but cant do anything to her ( she has panties on to prevent any penetration),

What i was wondering is, if we neuter him, and not spay her, will he still act this way in the future when she goes into heat. or will it stop. (personally i think he will still do it but not sure). OR visa versa.

we also have a female maltipoo. will we have the same problem with her. we would like to breed, the chihuahuas, and then eventually breed the maltipoo with a poodle. but now i'm not so sure if i want to do that, and have to put up with the males behavior. we have a pet store that would sell the puppies for us. and were really good friends with the owner.

I'm just really looking for insight as to what you all think.

thank you in advance.

Ok so There is this cat that showed up around June this year! And he was sooo scrawny. And we're in a drought and there was no way i was gonna let him strave or thirst to death. So i went out an bought him some bowls and I feed him cat food (purina naturals) I really know only the basics of caring for a cat! lol (becaise I'm a dog person) but he is so darn cute and I love him so much! And so do my 2 chihuahuas! They are his best friends lol Right now my mother and I have to stay with my grandmother. (I'M 16) . And my grandmother will not let him stay inside. So whenver we move (we'll be moving a couple of hours away) I want to take him with me.(my mom is allowig this) But he'll be an inside cat. How much would all his vaccinations, supplies, and neutering (and also the one-time cost of grooming). And how hard will it be to litter train an older cat (im guessing hes anywhere form 2-5 years!)
And any tips and advice on having a cat!....By the way I get a check every month

My kitten just got spayed and declawed yesterday morning. We picked her up from the vet 24 hours later (today) and their office is now closed, so we can't call them. She's sleeping a lot, which is expected, but I have noticed her whole body is twitching quite a bit when she is awake. Is this normal? a reaction from the anesthesia?

I'm looking for my pet parakeet. I forgot to feed him for a few days and I feel really badly. But I can't find him anywhere. Even if he's dead, I'd like to find him.

My dog is part lab, she adopted me about a year and a half ago. I thought she couldn't get pregnant, due to her age. I think she is about eight. She is now pregnant and I don't know how to tell when she is ready to have her pups. I want to make sure she doesn't have problems because of her age.

My friend has a person staying with them. That person has a 4 week old black puppy that is infested with fleas and he won't wash it and won't let me wash it. I just feel terrible that the dog has to suffer so much.

I have 4 cats. 3 females and 1 male. My male cat I rescued, well all of my cats have been rescued but my male cat was declawed when I got him and he holds his left paw up sometimes and can't use it due to that I suppose. That is why I don't want to declaw my other cats because I don't want them in any pain during or afterwards..plus I know what the declawing process entails.
Anyway, my dilemma is, our back porch, the cats have scratched a good amount of paint off of the wall. It's about 3 feet wide and 2 feet tall, of this huge chunk of paint gone. The chunk missing is about half an inch deep. It's terrible! I'm really wanting to paint the inside of my house, including the back porch but am afraid that they'll continue to scratch the paint off and I'll have a big ugly chunk missing out of the wall again.

Are there any alternatives to declawing? I have heard something about plastic things that go on the nails, I have never seen them but are they easy to put on?Any other suggestions?

My 5 month old lab has gotten into a nasty habit of not wanting to be in her crate when i'm home. It's not like i just put her in all day, I do it when i need to study or clean or cook dinner. She used to be really good about being in her crate, but now she just barks and whines, and i'm not sure what to do. I live in an apartment complex so i'm afraid she's disturbing other people. I don't want her to think that she can bark to get out of the crate, but after 10 minutes, i can't take it anymore, and am afraid that the person who shares a wall with me is being disturbed.

i think my cat is slow. seriously. his one eye is deformed ( but its fine the vet said) and it also takes him to catch on to different things like if you put meat in the front of him it takes about 10 secounds for him to find out he can eat it and he also is always falling down and he runs alot slower then my other cat. is he a little slow? can that happen to a cat?

This cat breeder KNEW that I was finally ready to move on from the loss of my 19 year old cat who I had to put to sleep due to bone cancer about 3 years ago. I was ready to move on and wanted an exotic. I had spoken to her and wanted a really frisky one, but told her that my cat that i had before was really loving. She said "Well I have just the cat for you. One of them is really loving and I think would be a better fit for you to fill the void." So I agreed. She brought the cat to my house. I had to have him, but was nervous about paying the steep $1,200 for a cat! She then threw in his sister for free because his sister had a weird flap of skin, walked really weird and didnt have the right markings. I then of course went for it. Found out the male, the one I paid for is only 8 months old and has serious problems - hear murmur, can hardly walk because of leg problems.... This is re-curring in her past litters. How do I shut her down since she doesn't know what she's doing?
