I've got 2 female chipmunks and 1 male. My female chipmunks keep fighting, 1 has lost both her ears and the other has nearly lost both ears has a wound on the back of the head, under her cheek and just above the tail. I have seperated the females but I was just wondering if anyone knows why they are fighting? They are from the same litter.

The guy that gave her to me (my dad's friend) hasn't ridden her in years and she's been pastured all her life, so I can't board her where I'm working, which would be nice, considering I would be able to see her more often. She's a small thoroughbred and he's well over 6 feet tall, so she's too small for him. She's gotten somewhat wild- runs when she sees you with a halter and lead, things like that. I can't tie her without her pulling back and thrashing everywhere, and she's just a handful. I don't know what to do with her. I'd rather not sell her or give her away, considering she was a gift and all and I've gotten attached to her. Any suggestions?

my daughter has been asking for a turtle from santa and we are considering because this would be her first real pet,and we think she could handle one better then say a dog.but before we go out and get one i want to learn as much as i can about them..my problem is that i havent got a clue on which would make a better pet and i dont know what breeds would be suiteable for her.so which would be better...a turtle or tortoise and what species would be good?...thanks for all or any help!!

I had this kitten from the day it was born... It's a girl, and I originally named her Convict. I wanna rename her though... but I want it to match her personallity.

She is rambunctous(sp), loves playing with my pup, curious, not a lover unless it's her time, very selective on her peson, rough and tough, escape artist.

It's a girl!!

Ok, I'm confused about my bettas. one boy and one girl. I put them in the same tank with deviders in it because I don't want a tank full of baby betta fish!! My 4 year old sister did the same thing, she put deviders in the tank but,,, the baby fish got an ick and died. then, we kept her other fish but it got the same ick and died also, it must have passed the ick on to it because they were in the same tank.... Should I leave my fish with deviders or separate them into different tanks???? HELP

I’m doing a water change weekly trying to keep the nitrite down and then I have to buy distilled water to get the pH down. My water change is 3 parts distilled water to one part tap/well water. This is a lot of work! It’s a 10 gal freshwater tank with 3 black tetras and 4 Serpae tetras. Too many fish??? Oh, and I only feed them twice a week. Tank is one month old and has been a problem from the beginning.
What do I have to do to my tank to keep the nitrites down without a weekly water change?

I am thinking about adopting a kitten from our local MSPCA. Well, I would like your opinions on both male and female kittens. I am thinking on getting a male, as I was told they are more affectionate than females, but I have heard so much on both genders i dont know what to think. I love many parts of the circus. I love the amazing acrobats, dazzling theatrics and junky food. However the animal part of the circus has always disturbed me. I hate how they abuse animals and make them do these awful tricks. The fact that circuses still use animals today seems completely unecessary to me because their are many other more natural ways to see exotic animals today and seeing them looking depressed while they are harmed and humiliated is not fun compared to seeing them in a zoo which is more natural. I mean I dont think people enjoy the animal part of the circus they go to see the acrobats. So why dont circuses stop using animals in their shows? I mean it would benifit them since they would stop being portrayed as such a bad guy and more people would go? Its not like people would stop going since their are no animals?

I adopted a cat and every time I leave he will cry and cry. The crying wont stop when I leave, and it is the saddest sound ever.
I am living with some roommates in a house, and while they love him, I am sure that the crying gets annoying after a while, how can I get him to stop?

Has anyone had an experiance with the electronic flea combs or brush that kills fleas by some kind of current. My home and dogs are invaided by fleas. I have tried almost everything, like Frontline plus and Program and numberous other products. Please let me know.

I was bitten by a Labrador in the eye when I was four. I have scars on my belly from a Golden Retriever pup that was never properly handled. Just a few days ago, my own precious beagle mix bit me in the nose. BUT I have yet to meet the jaws of a Pit Bull.

How many of you have actually been bitten by the 'terrible' dogs?
