We clean his cage regularily. We have washed everything in there and even switched some of the toys for cleaner nicer-looking ones.
We decided it must be him. He poops a lot and everyone can smell him. Is there anything we can do about it?

Why do dangerous dog laws have to be breed specific? How do you feel about dangerous dog laws? How do you feel about pitbulls, GSDs, Rottweilers and Dobermans becoming illegal in some states? What about labrador retrievers? They could be considered "dangerous" too. Does restricting pitbull and GSD ownership really protect people in the community or is it just a comfort thing?

I've grown up with these breeds and I love them. Sure they may need a special kind of owner, but just as some GSDs and pitbulls can become "dangerous" so can border collies, golden retrievers etc. (Had to bring up those two) :)

Why do these laws need to be breed specific? Are some dogs really more vicious than others or is it just the way they're raised? If it's just the way they're raised then why do so many irresponsible owners own pits and GSDs and other breeds that are considered more "dangerous"? What do you consider a "dangerous" dog?

I just moved in an apartment and the people upstairs have roaches. They are starting to come down to ours. We fogged the house and put out combat roach bait. My son has one in his room and our 12 week old puppy chewed on it. I was wondering if that could hurt him and what I need to do? I of course removed it. I need real answers and stupid comments please!!

I have 2 cats, and they share a litter box. Whenever one uses it, a disgusting stench fills the room. We spray oust, use glad plug-ins, air fresheners, everything! But the smell still penetrates through the air fresheners, and it mixes in with the good smells, making it 5 times worse! Is there anyone that knows a way to get rid of that horrid stench?

My minature dauchshund just got into the cat's food. It was Iam's digestive dry formula for cats and she ate about a cup of it. Do I need to worry about her health? She is a very healthy dog normally. It has been about 2 hours and so far she seems ok.
(and, yes, I have already found a better place to store the cat food). Thanks!!!

I want to buy some nice apple snails for my nano planted tank. I live in Toronto, is there an apple-snail store around ? And it's better if a online apple-snail shop can ship to my place.
Thanks for reading !

I have a freshwater tank with 3 tetra, 1 Ram Chiclid, and a bottom feeder. I am having problems with the Ram. i just got all of these fish a month ago and already have changed the water. I first noticed the Ram hanging out on the bottom of the tank 4 days ago (I know that is a HUGE red flag). The next day I noticed he had a sort of fuzz looking thing on his top fin ( I figured it was fungus) So I went to PetSmart and bought fungus tablets and it said for a 5 gallon tank use a half a tablet and the sales person told me use a quater tablet since tetra a very sensitive. The next day the fungus went down and he seemed to be breathing better but today he's still down at the bottom and it looks like the fugus is on his face as well and he is gasping for air. I know this doesn't look good at all but what can i do? Go for a second dose? HELP!

My 4.5 month old puppy has flees. She is on, and has been on, Sentinel since she was 8 weeks old. The vet gave her capstar and a de wormer 2 days ago. I have never actually seen flees on her or in my home, only flee "dirt" on my dog. I have 3 chinchillas living in my home with my one dog and don't really want to use flee spray in my home. Do I really need to if the capstar kills adult flees and the sentinel has made the females sterile.?

This is what I have done in my home so far:
I live in a small 1 bdrm apartment with all hardwood flooring or tile flooring. I sealed all the gaps between the baseboards and floor with silicone last year so I'm pretty sure no fleas in there. My sofa is basically a big foam block with cushions on top that goes all the way to the floor. I vacuumed every square inch of my sofa/cushions, bed, and floors (including behind the fridge & stove. I also washed my dog's beds. Through all of this I saw NO signs of flees.

There are some wild, but tame elk in our nature preserve. They are wild, because they live pretty much without human intervention, but they are tame because they have come to expect feedings by the people who live in the area. They are behind a fence, but will stick their noses thru and lick my hand. I do like to feed them.

I have gathered a few things for them, and so far it looks like it's all ok, but the only unusual one is cantaloup rind, which I thought they might like because it's sweet. But is it ok to feed to elk? I don't want to cause any health problems.

Thanks!

I was riding my bicycle and I saw a turtle next to the road. It's not a box turtle, it's a snapping turtle. It was too big to carry with one hand while riding my bike. I left it there, but I was afraid it might wander into the road and get hit by a car.
I asked some people , and they said it is probably looking for a place to hibernate. I know these things can bite, so I didn't try to move him. We had six inches of rain the other day, and he was moving toward higher ground.
Should I take the turtle to a wildlife sanctuary? The neighborhood he was in has 10 to 15 acre homes, so I think he has space, but he was only two feet from a road.
He's more than a foot long.
