My 6 1/2 month kitten in first season. Crying constantly! She is to be neutered tomorrow and I am terrified as she was a poorly kitten. Any advice?

Thank you! I was so worried about her crying that I took her to vet at 10.30pm. She is booked for surgery in morning, God willing she will be fine!

No you could no longer, the kitten isn't even progressed adequate yet. Technically, you will get a kitten spayed or neutered at 3 to 3.5 months yet generally it may weigh 4 pounds or be 4 month whichever comes first.

Spaying (the correct term for females) is perfectly safe. Vets normally don't suggest that you spay your cat in the midst of heat, it's recommended to wait until it's done with, but some vets will do it during heat (it'll just cost a little more, as it makes the surgery a bit more complicated).

I believe the guidlines for spaying the female and neutering the male kittens Is you wait until they grow to a minimum of 2 lbs.

Neutering is very safe and will make your kitten grow up healthy. Relax and let her have it. Make it special for her when she comes home.

Wait to have her spayed . Wait until she is out of her cycle. There should be no problems.
