my puppies are a week old and are eating like crazy is that normal?

Yes,puppies nurse a lot,unless they are trying to get milk and can't. Can you express milk from the mom?Are the puppies' bellies nicely rounded after they nurse? Do they sleep soundly otherwise? If you answered "yes" to all of these questions,then the puppies are doing well,eating and growing.

If you mean they are nursing a lot. Yes, the first couple of weeks they seem to be nursing all the time.
