Is it ok for my rat to drink milk? I know they have a reputation of eating cheese but I heard they actually can't have milk and cheese. Which one is it? Are they or aren't they allowed to eat dairy products? Cuz my rat loves to drink milk but I dont want to continue giving it to her if its bad for her.

I removed my puppies cast today, ( my vet can`t take him in until tomorrow). Can I pit a little polysporin on his pressure sore. I`m glad I took his cast off, the vet was glad I did too. I removed it because he was wimpering.But could I put a little antibiotic cream on it???

My cat saphy was pregnant we think and then she started bleeding alot we think she may have lost her kittens then yesterday, coz we have 3 more fionn is the youngest still a baby as such. saphy started biting him by the neck trying to drag him as if he were a kitten and she was also crying alot and running round looking everywhere. Was she looking for her kittens she lost?

We know we cant touch the kittens until the mother cat moves them. But she had them early behind the couch and looks like one may not have made it . Is there anything we can do to help her take care of them, What and how since we cant touch them??

I have read many bio-friendly ways of controlling fleas outside. Is there any bio-friendly way to kill and repell fleas that are already in my home? I have heard of herbs and ultrasonic flea repellents. Neither have been proven to work.

if you had 2 cats that had kittens at the same. i tryed to give them away but no one wanted any. so i keep all of them,so now they are one years old and are old anuf to hunt on there own.WHAT would you do? take them to the pound or drop them off by a barn? the pound kills them in 3 days if not adopide

I currently have a tropical tank, but I am looking to invest in a marine tank as marine fish look stunning, especially with the coral and sand in the tank, it gives you that ocean feel. I was just wondering if marine fish could reside alongside my tropical fish in the same tank? If not then I will have to look to sell my tank, along with my fish that currently reside inside it. Could someone please tell me if they can or cannot reside together. Thank you

My puppy has thrown up 4 times in 3 days already. What could be wrong with him. He seems just fine. He is eating and running around playing. His gums are pink and his nose is wet. The only thing is that he is a little warm. Should I be concern?

I only went to three shelters, but I never saw any labs there. The dogs were mostly pit bulls, german shepherd/mixes, beagles. I guess no pure lab would be in a shelter but I saw no mixes either. Are there labs that need rescuing, how do you find them if there are? Or do they just get adopted right away by someone?

i wrote on monday about the 2 kittens that i found with every thing wrong with them.
but i left one thing out my littlest one dose not have her own voice.
she tries to meow and i can here the air coming out.
but no sounds,she has never made a sound.
could this be some kind of infection,or birth defect.
because of this i named her sirin.

I have 9 fish in a 75 gal aquarium. There is plenty of hiding places for the babies, they hatch and I see them swimming around but a couple of days later their gone. Do I have to leave my aquarium light on all night to keep this from happening?

I have a 2 year old male and a 2 year old female BOTH fixed. I have a 6 month old who already has her appointment scheduled to be spayed in less than 2 weeks. Unfortunately for me, she just started to come in heat. My other guys were adopted and were both fixed at 3 months but my vet said its safer for 6 months so she is scheduled. my male has NEVER sprayed and since my female 6 month year old has been in heat the past 2 days I found pee stains in 2 spots so far and I seperated her to a laundry room. How long will she spray for during her heat cycle? thanks!

My red heeler is about a year and 3 months old. He does some weird stuff, but the strangest is his new habit of chewing on his feet. It's more like his ankles. He'll lay on the floor and chew on himself like he does with his other toys. He doesn't draw blood and has never yelped. Is there a reason for this?

I have been told that it is not a good idea to crate your puppy for long periods during the day because of bladder control. What is the best method for housetraining a toy breed? I am currently using a pen with room for papers so he can "go" if he needs to but I am not sure if he will be able to learn how to go outside. Is there anyone else out there who is gone during the day and has had success training their pup?

Ok, so my brain is trying to function again, lol. This is something that I thought would be fun but it would take a lot of people willing to organize it throughout the country. A yearly silent auction set at one your big shows each year with proceeds to go to your area's local rescue. Something like a National Silent Auction Fund Raiser, (Save the rescue's theme) Anyone think this would be interesting and would like to do it? If we got enough people to organize and report earnings there could be a yearly proceed count for the nation, ofcourse, we would need 1 (headquarter) to report figures and send out email newsletters to anyone who joined the cause. Anyone with more ideas to add to this?
