Since I have a Boxer and he looks like a Kangaroo while pooping, just wanted to know the proper call for training a pup... g'day mate!

Go Poopy.. of course. But a word of caution.. don't do that while my girlfriend is around. Very embarassing!

Uae whatever word comes easily to you, and that you will be happy to use in front of strangers.
Appluy it EVERY time he begins to go. I find saying it in a quiet, calm manner has the best effect - get too excited and he will look at YOU and forget what he was doing. Remember, this isn't reaally praise, so much as conditioning.
By the time my pup was 6 months, he was reliably peeing and pooing on command. I personally say 'Go pee' and 'Go poo' - but I'm a simple soul!
Good luck - and good thinking - makes life much easier!

Well, working at a vets office I heard some very ridiculous answers. One lady said that the only way her dog would go outside, and go potty is we had to tell him to go, "Number 1" or "Number 2." I felt so stupid bringing the dog outside, "Ok Spike, lets go Number 1! Lets go number 2 now!" We just ask our dog, Do you have to potty? Then when we bring him outside, "Do your business. Get your business done." Like some people said before, you could say, "Hop up and down." and if you said that every time the dog went potty, thats what they think you mean. Good luck!

Since I got my boxer puppy at 6 weeks I have always told him " time to potty" everytime I take him out... now at 8 months it works like a charm... take him out and tell him its time to potty... then he pees an poos almost immediatly

my mixed female knows that when she is told " gotta pee' most of the time she goes too. She will not poo on a leash unless forced too...
But my boxer is much better at it.

I have a 9 month old American Bulldog Terrier, and when I take him outside, I just simply ask him "do you need to potty?" He will then go pee if he need to. As far a pooing, I will ask him "do you need to go poo," and if he does, then he does it. It takes alot of time and patience to train a dog, but you can not make a dog go poo or pee if he/she doesn't need to go. That would kinda be like someone forcing you to go pee or poo when you didn't need to go. Just keep working with him and be consistant and you and your dog will find a groove that works for the both of you. Good Luck.

LOL
Believe me I have heard some funny ones over the years.

I tell mine "get your butt down", no valid reason I just always have said that when I want them to hurry up and get their business done.
We are on the road a lot with the show dogs, and it is important that they don't take all day.

I have show dogs so when on the road it is so helpful if they will go on command. I use the commands of 'go outside' or 'get busy'. This is used to encourage them to do any business they may need to do.

I tell my dog to "find a spot" for both. It's really not the words, it's the consistency of the word. You could say "drive a car" and as long as you are consistent, they will do their business when you say drive a car....

Mine pee and poo on command. I say "Go potty" for pee and "Go poopy" for poo. Works like a charm. Hurry up even helps if I don't use it too much.
