Is it ok for my rat to drink milk? I know they have a reputation of eating cheese but I heard they actually can't have milk and cheese. Which one is it? Are they or aren't they allowed to eat dairy products? Cuz my rat loves to drink milk but I dont want to continue giving it to her if its bad for her.

If you don't see her having a diarrhea or any other problem after drinking it, then let her eat and drink whatever she likes. Milk cannot be bad for anyone, unless they have trouble digesting it, and that would show in the stools, or gas, bloating, etc.

It's not that cheese is bad for rats and mice, it's that they don't actually like it! They're attracted by the smell, but not actually eating it. Ever tried offering your rats cheese? I'm sure there are exceptions, but my mice never ate it!

I suppose if you're not seeing any adverse reactions, as described by the first answerer, perhaps it won't be a problem. I've never heard of dairy being a problem for rodents exactly, but it wouldn't be part of their natural diet, I like to stick to treats meant for rodents only so you know where you are, there are plenty out there.

Hello dear!
Rats love to drink milk and it is good for them, ...
I was in a poor country some months ago and there was no milk for people. Even to the kids there if we would give them milk initially it would create problems but eventually they survive! Milk is healthy for all mammals!
