My filtration system would be a 30 gallon wet and dry filtration system, or 2 aquaclear 110 filters, and 2 caribe piranha, 2 ternetzi piranha, 2 red bellied piranha, 2 super red bellied piranha, and 2 piraya piranha.

I also would have 2 powerheads.

Or id do 2 florida gar, a silver arowana, a peacock bass, 2 motoro stingrays, and a red tailed catfish. If i come up with something different I will tell about it in an update.

On my second suggestion, when the fish reached 18" they would go in a heated pond i own.

She floats in the water and hangs by the filter. Is it possible that she is getting ready to lay eggs?

My betta has been sick for a month now. She stopped eating, would stay at the bottom of the tank, or would gasp for air at the surface. She also has swollen lips with black spots on them.
Today she blew her first bubble nest since she got sick!!! She also ate 3 pellets!! But for some reason she had trouble swallowing them (could be related to her swollen lips?). She also is swimming around more. I think she's better because of either the BettaFix I treated her with last week, or because I changed her water using aged water rather than conditioned water.
So do you think my Betta will survive whatever is ailing her??

I’m interested in the correlation between an animal’s (dog’s or cat’s) life expectancy and the amount of drugs (including anaesthetics, flea and worm treatments) it has been exposed to in its life.

I’d be grateful therefore to anyone who could answer the following questionnaire, regarding past pets only, or cats aged above 15 years old or dogs aged above 10 years (regardless of breed)

Please don’t include animals that have died from injuries (i.e animal attacks, being run over), animals whose fate was unknown to you or animals put to sleep for aggression or other non-health related causes. ‘Natural deaths’ only please! – this includes euthanasia for illnesses that would otherwise have resulted in death.

Feel free to email me your answers if you don’t want to post them here, or email me if you’re not clear about any of the questions.

If you have more than one animal that meets the above specifications, please answer the questions for each animal!

I just brought home 13 baby quakers from a breeder who fell ill. They all are being handfed by ME.

The owner will want so sell them and I wonder what the market is on tame quakers. The 3 oldest are nearly fledged so may not be as tame as the babies. These came from 3 different nests. Some of the babies are plucked and two have small bites (from parents?) but seem okay.

Any advice would be deeply appreciated..

My family recently adoped a pound puppy that is a black lab/ St. Bernard. She is about 6 or seven months old and weighs about 40 lbs. She is loaded with energy and bites when she plays not to mention she is HUGE and still growing. The trouble is, my brother is having a baby due July 22nd! We are really exicted but we still want to keep the dog. She could easily kill a baby ,and that scares me, but I really want to find a way to calm her down. If worst comes to worse we could take her to an obedience school but we don't really have the funds with the baby coming and all. I actually dont know how much that costs. I apreciate any answers and thank you. [sorry if i spelled anythig wrong]

There are 22 fish in my pond. They are mostly about 2 - 3 inches long, 4 or 5 are about 4 inches long. including the 2 new ones. They have quite a large pond to swim in and seem very sociable, swimming round in a large group or 2 or 3 smaller groups.

Heres the story:
Ok so i have 3 fish tanks (all second hands ones i got really cheap and now that i am 16 i am getting a week end job, So my intention was to buy one big tak like a RIO 180 :http://www.juwel-aquarium.de/en/rio.htm?cat=5&mat=4550 , Ok so i currently have
:20 Gallon (3ft x1ft x 2ft) with these fish:
5 platies
3 mollies,
1 male beta
1 pleco ( This is soon to be rehomed as i didnt know the size of tank it needed,)
2 cory cats
1algae eater,

10 GALLON TANK:
9 guppies + and a few fry
2 Apple snails

10 GALLON TANK:

5 Female betta
4 swordtail.

Ok so do you think it would be ok to bring all the fish toether into the one tank, Rio 180? I think this meens 180 litres but i dont know how many gallons this is, Would there be aough room and would all my fish get along in the same tank?

California Assembly Bill 1634, known as the California Healthy Pets Act, has been assigned to the Senate Business, Professions, and Economic Development Committee and the Senate Local Government Committee. The bill seeks to require the mandatory spaying or neutering of dogs or cats over four months of age, unless the owner acquires an intact animal permit.

I post this often to raise peoples awareess. This is the most important pet owners legislation to even be brought up. It could affect every American pet owner eventually!

I heard Schnauzers were the best choice for the intellectual type. Someone told me these dogs have charactor, wit, personality and they are very smart.

my house is mainly carpet and it would have to be home alone from 10:30 am to 2:30 in the afternoon. i really want to get one but im afraid that the time would be too long to leave a dog unattended. i want a puppy but i know i should get an adult dog so it wont be too hard to train.

I have 2 RED eared slides. 1 is great it dosent eat the dock, the other is a little fatty or bored or something. it is always trying to eat the dock and i dont know what to do. i feed it more sometimes when i see it eating the dock, but i realy dont want to overfeed them and it doesnt really stop it from going back at it 5 minutes later. I would make a dock made of rocks but my tank is not big enough and i dont want to take away space from them. and right now is not a good time for me to get a new tank (i may be moving cross country soon and cant aford to buy a huge tank then have to leave it behind just to buy another) anyway thats a lot to much info im sure. Help me what do i do?!
