Nope, dogs of any age will benefit from dog classes. They love the interaction with their owners, and even if they don't learn any tricks, they will learn that you are the master and they are the dog, which goes a long way in all situations.

I've been training and showing dogs for years. Given the right incentive/positive reinforcement ANY dog can learn. Often I train my retired from show or Service Dogs tricks to keep them busy, on their toes and happy. I taught an 8 year old Samoyed to roll over and at age 11 how to wave bye-bye. Read some trick training books/websites, use lots of praise, cookies, or toys and you're on your way. Make sure to figure out what best motivates your dog.... for some its food, for some its a pat on the head (leader's approval) and for some its a bit of play with a ball or stuffed animal. Good Luck and most of all HAVE FUN!

I taught a 13 year old cat to shake hands. An old dog would be simple to teach tricks to! No one is too old to start school, and that includes dogs. Your dog is still young, just look for a class that will allow an adult dog, not just puppies.

nope she is not too old, a dog is never too old to teach it new tricks, it just takes longer. This is because the parts of the brain become less flexible as we (and dogs) get older, therfore it takes us longer to get a new trick to stay in our brain. Your dog is still quite young and still has a flexible brain, so should have no problem, and at that age the only problem is that your dog might need one or two extra classes to catch up to the other dogs.

It is never too late or a dog too old to teach it anything. You start teaching a dog the day you get it and don't stop until the day it goes.

Any dog can learn at any age. The key to training is practice, practice, and practice! Be patient and work with him/her for no more than 10 minutes (dogs have a short attention span) a couple times a day.

The thing is, two years is NOT an OLD dog. Certainly you can teach your dog obedience and a few tricks if you use a trainer to help and advise. :-)

No dog is too old to go to dog school! In fact, it gives their doggie brains something new to learn and do.
