It depends. Have you recently switched yoru cats food. Sometimes a switch in food can cause an upset stomach which will lead to spotting in the animals poo. Also it could be stress related. Sometimes animals will strain and break blood vessels in there intestines. I would watch it for a couple of days. If it gets worse or continues to spot I would take her or him to the et to make sure its not something much worse.

A sudden change of food might cause diarrhoea, but it wouldn't cause blood to be in the poo.
Most likely your kitten has worms, and will therefore needs appropriate de-wormer from a vet. Take the kitten to a vet anyway if you've just got her, she's need a general check and you need advice on flea/worm/vaccination and neutering.

i know it's probaby expensive and inconvinient, but blood in poop is often an indicator that you have to take her in. I would just make sure she's getting plenty of water and if it persists for the next day, don't even chance it, take her in. also, try giving your vet or any petstore a call, they can always recommend a good and affordable medicine for you free of charge. Good Luck. i hope baby feels better!

I don't care if others say it's normal, I wouldn't trust it. What would you do if you found blood in your poo? Go to the vet immediately.

you need to take your kitten to the vet and have it checked out and updated on vaccinations. It could be something as simple as intestinal parasites or stress induced.

Is there a yucky metallic smell too? If there is, that's worms and off to the vet for a deworming.

Take her to the vet, we cannot make a diagnosis over the internet.

The same thing happened to my cat. I took him to the vet and they gave us medicine so he was fine. It was nothing serious.
