Both are crap in a bag.
Here are a few that are good: Solid Gold, Wellness, Canidae, Timberwolf Organics, Innova Evo, California Natural and Artemis Fresh Mix, there are several more but these are really good. They may be a bit pricey initially but they come out cheaper because you feed less. These are 100% human grade dog food with NO corn, wheat, soy, grain fractions, fillers or by products – and naturally preserved.

Choosing the right food can be a challenging ordeal.
The amount you feed your dog and the type of food depends on breed, size, age, activity and health. Whatever you do, stay away from the cheap brands; they may fill your dog up, but not with a healthful diet of food. Also, it doesn't hurt to rotate brands between two or three brands every 4 to 5 months or so, just to get well balanced diet; but make the change over gradually in 25% change over every 4 days until you get to 100% change over.
I'd first start reading the information from this site: http://www.woodhavenlabs.com/dogfoods.ht...
I'd also read this site: http://www.dogaware.com/dogfeeding.html#...
Then I'd compare the different brands of foods at this site: http://www.naturapet.com/ go to upper right column and click on the double arrows.
For my ZOE (R Ridgeback) I feed her what I consider the best food on the market - Innova Adult in the bright green 33# bag (about $42.00) and can (about $15 per case of 12). She's 75#'s and she runs (10 to 18 mph) from 0.5 to 2.0 miles a day (mostly 1.0 mile). She gets 3.5 oz. of dry plus 1 oz of can twice a day (usually at 7 AM and 6:30 PM) plus about 4 to 6 pieces of popcorn chicken during the day and 3/4 to 1 oz of dry or can food just before bedtime; sometimes a very thin slice or two of turkey instead. Sometimes I'll give her some table scrap from my food, but only a teaspoon and lick the plate as long as there are no onions.
The foods I rotate ZOE on are Chicken Lover's Soup (it's not soup) and esp. Eagle Pack (Tuna, Salmon & Shrimp Formula).
Hope this helps you.

neither. both pedigree and iams have artificial stuff in it and chemicals unnecessary for dogs.
you should also take a look at this website: www.iamskills.com
you should give your dog nutro natural choice. they have natural ingredients.. and they have a line of holistic kibbles.
my dog switched to this from using blue buffulo, eukanuba, authority, ceasar (wet foods mixed with kibbles), and pedigree (my dog didnt like the taste or something) but he always seemed to have loose stool.
natural choice has made his stool much firmer and seems much happier and satisfied with it. they have many choices and is very good. they're lamb and rice formula (i think) was on the food recall so choose something else...

If you are choosing only between those two, then definitely the Iams. If you are asking a general question as to what dog food to feed your dog, I would go with a premium dog food like Canidae, Wellness, Natural Balance, Solid Gold. They are a bit more expensive, but do not have any fillers or junk in them and are much better for your dog.

Neither, they're both crap, and so are Purina, Alpo, and Eukanuba, and Science Diet.
You need to get an all-natural quality diet for your dog. Poor diet can result in dry skin, allergies, bald spots, sores, vomiting, diarrhea, and short lifespan.
Good foods are: Artemis, Merrick, Wellness, Chicken Soup, Solid Gold, Innova Evo, California Natural, Professional. You can find them at regular petstores (not Petsmart, just normal stores).

Neither. Both full of Ground Yellow Corn, Chicken by products, sorghum. All ingredients that don't digest well and adds to the waste. They also eat more so you buy the food more often. It just doesn't fill them up.
Look at this website.
http://www.nutroproducts.com/maxdogprod.shtml
KATE H---Nutro Natural Choice Lamb & Rice WAS NOT recalled. (UGLY RUMOR) They make all of their own dry products in their own plants in the US. They use all US grain sources as well.
Just thought you might want to know.

Between those choices neither is superior, both are mediocre. As a general rule of thumb, any dog food you can purchase at a supermarket is not going to be the best. You should look into some of the super premiums such as, Innova, Canidae, Wellness, etc.
