I use to have African Dwarf Frogs, but they jumped out of my tank and crusted over. I'm wantin' to get more of them. Do they need oxygen, a filter, etc... just like fish?

I have been feeding my puppy nutro natural choice. I know that when you change the food brand you have to do it over a couple of days so they dog can get used to it. I don't want to change the brand I just want to change the flavor, do I still have to do it over a couple of days?

their shells are about the side of a half dollar.. anyways i was wondering.. one turtle is far bigger than the other and more muscular, he has longer nails and tail, so im guessing he's a male, and since the other is a female, i want to know what will happen? [i know what will happen.. lol] but i mean, how big or how old do they get before they start mating, if so?

I do not know what type they are but the bottom of their shells are spotted and they are the size of a person's thumb.

This might be a dumb question, but if they have long hair, doesn't the pee get on their fur? Or do you shave the belly part and just let the side hair hang over (so you can't really tell that the belly is shaved unless the dog is on it's back)?

I'm considering getting a male Samoyed, I'm just not sure how the hair/pee thing is going to work out with a male dog.

My 3yr old golden has been having seizures for, well since we've had him which is his whole life. he all of a sudden can't get up and starts to tighten or seize up and can't move. then he starts to drool and then after that he's all better and gets up but then he pukes up bile. i don't know really what to do w/ him. is it his breed or family genes?

I have 1 RES that lives in a pond outside. I bring him inside every night because I have raccoons and coyotes. Right now he sleeps in a small carrier, but he doesn't like this, and frankly, neither do I. I'm wondering what other people do who have this problem. Covering the pond is not an option. I have been thinking about building an enclosure to keep him in at night. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I just bought a new parakeet, and the way he stands on the perch is weird, it's like his legs are broken. I put a link to a picture, do you have any idea on how I can give him any therapy?? Do you think it is hereditary??? O should I return him to his old owner?? He has a normal life, he eats, drinks, and flies as much as a regular and healthy bird.

My fiance owns a 6yr. old basset. We have been living together for about 4 or 5 months. The basset listens to me sometimes but then other times my fiance has to repeat what I have already told the dog to do like for instance sometimes we'll eat in bed(I'm 25weeks pregnant and our chairs make my already hurt back hurt more) and the dog(who usually sleeps on the bed and lays there during the day) will jump up and just put his face in my food not my fiance's just mine he's even gone so far to lick it before. I tell him to stop or no and he doesn't my fiance tells him to and SOMETIMES he'll just leave and lay at the end of the bed. Now I know this dog has and is spoiled but it really needs to stop(there is a baby coming) but he is a very stubborn dog. Oh and when we go for walks he usually walks without a leash because our apartment is gated so there is just no flying cars going by and he stays close by. But when I take him for a walk I take a leash with me cause he doesn't listen but..

We have had them since they were 4 weeks old ( there are 5 of them) and have tried and tried to wean them. One of them is off the bottle, but the other 4 won't even try to lap up formula. WE had no problem with the last kitten we saved, but these are making us scratch our heads not knowing what to do. We have basically tried it all ( formula mixes with dry and wet foods), but I'm sure there is more and some great advice is needed. Thank you.

I was wondering if there are any types of cichlids that I can have in a 10 gallon tank?

I have kept tropical community fish for decades and I am pretty experienced in fish keeping. However, I never had cichlids and I would really like to try them. Sadly, all my bigger tanks are filled with community fish and the 10g tank is the only tank that is going to be empty soon.

Also, I prefer American cichlids over African cichlids.

Few weeks ago I bought a Tetra Whisper 10 Power Filter for my baby RES turtle. It was working fine for the first couple weeks but this week the water has become cloudy. The guy at the petstore just said "make sure you rinse the filter out every few days" so I have been. However, the filter is now all dark and heavy at the bottom when I take it out and the water is getting cloudy after I just changed it 2 days ago.
I'm wondering.. do I have to buy replacements? or what do I do to keep the water clean.... idk any tips can help! Where can I find the replacements if I do need them? I didnt see any at the pet store

I have a twenty week old, male American Pit-bull Terrier. He is not yet nuetered but I plan on doing it sooner than later. My question is, he won't kennel train, and I do everything I'm supposed to. I started kennel training him the day after I got him, he was eight weeks then. I don't pay attention to his whining, I tell him good boy when he is quiet, and let him out after he falls asleep, and I don't put him in there when he does something wrong. He knows that when I say bed that it means go into the kennel, but he will whine immediately after, then he will quiet and start whining, and barking. He gets worse when we eat at the dinner table or when I'm preparing food. That's also another thing is he begs, begs and begs, I have tried everything to stop this behaviour, but nothing works. When I get mad and use a deep loud voice he thinks that I am playing, and he only listens when I have treats, but I can't always rely on treats. Any advice? No rude comments abou the breed, I wil report

I happen to live in a little cottage on the edge of a wooded stream, along with dozens of cats and a large black dog. I would not have considered myself a cat lover, but I guess any of us can change, can't we?
