Yes, we can. Change, that is. I have a wonderful story from the New York Times taped up behind me, about a couple who were home one afternoon watching the game with some of their neighbors, when the final neighor who was coming knocked on the door. When they opened, there was a guy holding a gun on this last guest, and he came in and made everyone strip, said it was a hold up. The problem was, everybody there was unemployed and poor, so the guy got mad and the situation was dangerous. That's when the cat came strolling into the bedroom, roused from her afternoon nap by the commotion. The robber saw the cat and decided to devil her. The cat was usually sweet to everyone and when she wasn't sweet, she hid. But this guy made a move for her, and she attacked. So the guy, who was a jerk of course, went running after the cat to get her back -- which allowed her owner to make a dash for the door (naked, of course) and get to a neighbor and call the cops. Who arrived and there was a shootout in which only the robber was hurt.
The best part of the story is the cat's name: "BooBoo Kitty".
But there is also the story of my wonderful good boy, named Spike, who once, when we had an intruder in the middle of the night, wakened me by nipping very lightly with his small, front teeth, on my eyelids to let me know.

how about my 2 cats only a few months old jumping onto a chair then jumping onto the china cabinet thing that had a WRAPPED plate of oatmeal raisan cookies on it somehow getting a cookie out from the WRAPPED plate and dropping it on the floor then continuing to eat it
I also had a cat one time that learned how to open the screen door and come in whenever he felt like it
right now i have a cat that is snotty and moody she doesn't want to be picked up unless she gives YOU permission she loves one person in my house the most and it isn't me when that person isn't home she SETTLES for someone else in the house alternately depending on her mood and sticks with them for weeks she thinks she runs the house constantly getting on and under furniture whenever she feels like it and the person she loves lets her do it but if ANY of the other cats do it that person yells at them like no other......the reason the cat and person are like this is because this cat and 3 others were raised by hand between me and the other 2 people in the house....this one cat though was a royal pain in the butt she didn't want to eat from the bottle only the eye dropper one time i forced the bottle on her and she tore the nipple part in 1/2 anyway when she was hungry and wanted food it had to be in the eyedropper and her front paws would go constantly like 100 mph like she was swimming or running VERY VERY fast the only person who had patience enough to feed her and calm her down was the person that now spoils her and that she is absolutely in love with and NOOOOOOOO it isnt' me i've been growled and clawed at by this cat more then loved on though the last few days she has been loving me when her favorite person isn't home go figure well that's my top 3 cat stories.. i have a ton more i have like 30 some cats in my life probably yeah 30!!!!!

A long time ago when we lived in our log house in the woods, our outside cat became sick so we moved her inside. When she got better she started to get restlist and started to climb the walls, literally. She would run form across the room and climb up the wall-run up it-make it about 5 feet on the ceiling before she would land on the couch right side up.

I had a Siamese cat named Misty. She was the ruler of the house; we just got to live there and pay the rent. Misty was very vigilant; when my son was ill, she would not leave the room while he was running fever; she alerted me to his being sick a number of times before he had more than a mild fever (he had some chronic respiratory problems as a child).
Normally Misty knew not to come to my door at night; however, one night, she came to the door and scratched like mad. Despite shooing her off a couple of times, she persisted, and I finally woke up enough to realize that something was amiss. As soon as I started to follow, she pawed at the kitchen door (despite the fact that it had a cat door in it that SHE could have gone through). When I opened the door, I found the toaster sitting there somehow stuck in the "on" position, and VERY hot. There's no question in my mind that she knew something was wrong, and that she prevented a fire in the house.

My cat, Mushy, is extremely smart. When I'm sitting on the couch, she always wants me to follow her into the kitchen to feed her (about 10 times a day). I open a pouch and she usually turns her nose up at it and walks away if it's not exactly what she wanted at that given moment. After about the fifth time, I get annoyed and don't want to get up off the couch. During these times, she goes to the front door and scratches at it PRETENDING that she wants to go out. When I get up and go to the door, she turns on her heels and heads to the kitchen, giving me a head shake as if to say "come on dummy!". The pitiful thing is that I usually fall for this "bait and switch" scam of hers every time!!

I love all animals, cats included. I once had a cat that was half bob cat. She was beautiful, but b*tchy. She didn't like people, not even me really. She knew I fed her, so sometimes, she allowed me to sit and pet her while she laid in my lap. But, if she decided she wanted to lay in my lap and not be touched, she would bite. When ever anyone came to my house she would climb to the highest place in the house and just stare at them, like, "How dare YOU come into MY House!" A guy I was seeing, at the time, hated cats. He would always complain about her and say I should get rid of her. When he came over the first time, she acted the same way she did with everyone else. The first time he complained about her, and mentioned me getting rid of her, she got down from the refrigerator and just rubbed up against him. If he took off his coat and laid it on a chair, she was on top of it, just pawing the heck out of it. The whole while, she looked at him as if to say, "Hmmmph...get rid of me??! I'll show you. This is my house, and I'll be here long after you are gone." and she was.
Also, she had kittens once, and just could not stand for anyone to play with them or touch them. Of course, we did anyway, especially after they eyes were open and they would play. So Cute! But, one day Baby, came running through the house, meowing her little bob tail off. She would paw at me and meow and run out of the room. I got the message that she wanted me to follow. She led me to the bathroom where one of her curious children had somehow gotten on the toilet and fell in. He was a cute little black kitten, also with a bob tail. He was just mewing and swimming as hard as he could. I scooped him up and dried him for as long as baby would let me, but then she took him away from me and hid him under the bed. It was nice to be needed, even if it was for a short while.

Cats kill mice. My son was breeding rats and one got out and the cat killed him. We scolded him for this because we all needed to live under the same roof. Another rat got out and the cat protected it... stood over where it was and meowed until we moved the pillows and found the rat.

Yeah, I have three cats. One of them every morning when I go to the bathroom, gets in the bathtub, and starts looking at me and at the faucet while licking her chops, as soon as I open the faucet just a little bit she starts drinking directly from it.
