Flavor changes should not make a difference. Only type changes. As someone mentioned though, your puppy may be sensitive and the change between say beef, and chicken might be enough to make them upset. You'll just have to see. Is there any reason why you're changing the flavor? Dogs rarely get tired of the same food. Mine have eaten the same type of dry food their whole lives and don't seem to desire anything else.

It is still best to gradually change the food even if just to another flavor. Dogs stomachs can be sensitive to change, so mix a little of the new in with the old and gradually increase the ratio of the new flavor. It is better to be safe than sorry.

I work for Nutro. You don't have to mix it as long as you stay within the Nutro line. Which flavor do you want to change to???

Do it naturally over time just like everybody above me said. The main reason you do it over time when switching brands is the diffrent taste and chemicals in it, just like switching flavors.

Just so he doesn't get flavor shock I would mix it in. You can probably go a little faster than you would if you were switching brands, though.

One good way is to mix the 2 foods together until you run out of your old food and then put the pup strictly on the new food.

YES, still change the food over time.. Even if you change flavors.. think about it, beef to chicken. or to vegtable, it is still chainging the recipe .. would be best to to still do it gradually to make sure :)

Generally not unless you know your dog is sensitive to change in diet. If he doesn't have a sensitive stomach then it's probably ok.

I would do it gradually. There's nothing worse than going through the doggie with the upset stomach routine- complete with midnight diarrhea and vet visit for meds.
