I have a 30 gallon tank with 5 cichlids and 1 common pleco. I want to learn the Compatibility chart for cichlids. See I have 3 assorted cichlid, 1 kenyi cichlid, and 1 jack dempsey cichlid. I know 4 for them are from lake Malawi, and the jack is from Central American. My biggest cichlid is 3 1/2 inches and the smallest is the Jack at 1 inch. The pet store guy told me that it's fine and that I should never buy at inpulse, and when ever i want to buy more to ask him first if they can be together. Oh and I've had my tank for almost 2 months with 3 assorted cichlid and the pleco. I just bought the kenyi and jack 2 weeks ago.

My cats pee all the damn time. We have two litter boxes, but they only pee in one of them. They poop in both. The one with pee smells SO bad. We clean it every day or every other day (well it's my boyfriend's duty.. so sometimes I CLEAN IT after more than 2 days have passed.. :( ) Anyhoo... the pee doesn't clump well at all, so when we scoop it out there's pee in there still which keeps that pee smell in there. We currently use Tidy Cat Tidy Lock (it has blue trim). What can we use?????

see, my friend is planing on getting a hamster. but she doesnt want to keep taking it to the vets like you would a dog or cat.

Hi, My 6 year old yellow lab has a recurring zit on her cheek by her which we are bringing her to the vet for, but this morning my mom was petting her on her left side on her ribcage, and noticed a small bump on it, she does not seem bothered, What do you think it is? a calcium deposit, cancer?!? what?

my neighbour has 3 large dogs and two cats that are kept quite frequently in one small room, they get no exercise apart from running through tall weeds and brambles in the garden. The dogs bark all the time for no reason and they are not exercised at all, and not fed the proper food. what can be done about this. any help will be great, thanks.

I have a dog named Jade.I know, Iknow her breed is vary wild[she's a Germin Shepard]But she is vary sweet to my mom and dad especily to my little sister.But I think thats because if she bites my parents or my baby sister because my dad will knock the day lites out of her.For some reason She bites me because I don't do any thing if she does.Does anyone know how I can get her to stop.[I realy don't like to screem or any thing like that][I'v had her for 2 years and shes a baby]

He is not himself. He is 7 years old and i know that he is getting old, but it seems to have happened too quickly. I just want him to be a puppy again and wake me up by running and licking my face, and jump on me when i get home from school! I miss it so much. How can i get him to be more energetic? We are beinging him to the vet because he is very skinny and not eating. He used to love walks and he tries to turn around half way.

Hi, I have a molly fish in my tank that has sat at the top in the corner for 6 days now (no, she's not dead) she's still eating and occasionally changes the corner that she sits in but remains at the top of the tank. Apart from this strange behaviour she's showing no signs of distress, all other fish in the tank are fine. I have had the tank for a year now and have a good selection of fish (all compatible). The only other thing to note is that there is a guppy fish that constantly goes back and forth from the Molly to the rest of the tank. Could my Molly fish be pregnant? or is she on her last legs, hope not.

Hi, i have trouble with my neighbour, hes a old man and hates my cats. He thinks my cats mess all over his garden. Anyway, i have caught him this morning using a catapult out of his bedroom window aiming at one of my cats, my cat is in his own garden by the way, so i shouted at him and then went round, his wife gave me some abuse and pushed me. I have informed the police and the RSPCA and am going to the council tomorrow. The local beat bobby is coming out to see me tomorrow. I now know why my cat is sensitive to touch at times now and he spits at me , it's cuz he is hurt.
Anyone else had problems like this and if they have what have they done about it. It isn't the first time i have caught my neighbour doing this but i have had enough now. He also has spikes along his fence and i have had to mesh this side of the fence just incase my cats get hurt.

I own a pure blooded 150 pound Bull Mastiff and I am a fulltime RVer. Fang is verry goodnatured and never off leasch but Problems always could arrise, mostly due to the ignorance of others And i do would like to protect myself as well as my Dog. In our (legal) sociaty some folks just itching to sue over everything and anything if the can avoid workin for a living and i had to work too hard to be able to affort my live and livestyle as to give it up to some lowlive. thanks Tom

is this safe? I just bought four neon tetra's and as I was adding them to the tank my oranda just jumped and swallowed one. Now he is chasing the other three? Should I just remove the fish or wait and see if they will calm down. I also have a black moor and a baby red cap oranda and they don't seem to care but my other one is just going nuts.

Does anyone know any other games to play with my dog (except catch)? He's already 3 years old. A yorkshire terrier. I always take him without a leash on the front lawn. It seems that he wants to play a game with me. So if you have any other games that you think or you play with your dog please tell me.

I have an undergravel filter w/ a powerhead. Also I have a
penguin bio-wheel filter. The tank is 29g. Are the canister filters a better solution. also is there a worm or bacteria i can buy or grow to eat the debris in the gravel. So I don't have to clean so often?

I saw this great-looking 150 gallon aquarium at petsmart yesterday and I was thinking about how nice it would go in my house. I'd like to know from everyone, what would be your ideal set-up. I want to know everything you would put in it. From fish to ornaments, air pumps, heaters, filters, lighting, gravel, to sand. EVERYTHING! Keep in mind it would be a freshwater tank. I have 5 tetras in a fresh water tank. Last night I noticed the smallest one is missing an eye. It is swimming around and eating like normal but it looks horrible. What should I do with it? Should I change the water (it was due for a cleaning), Add conditioner or salt?

Lately there has been an abundance of questions posted on YA about dogs with geneticaly weak nerves. Where do these dogs come from? Is there anything that can be done to help these dogs? Do you believe that genetics can be overcome with training or socialization? Is it a waste of time to try to rehabilitate a dog with this type of problem?
