I live in Central Florida and the last 2 years has been a tick nightmare for my dogs. My 2 dogs are on Frontline Plus but every few days I have to sit down and pull 20-30 ticks off of them. I honestly think the Frontline is doing nothing. I have had my yard and house sprayed, but it seems there is no stopping these blood sucking ticks. Does anyone have a solution better than what I am doing?

I have a small back yard. I am limited to walking due to asthma.

my problem is i already have a kitten around the same age it's a girl. well she is not very happy with her new companion is this normal? she is smaller than he but she is really being a big bully i.e. hissing, growling, & swatting. any suggestions on helping them get along? also any name suggestions for my boy he looks like a siamese. p. s. the girl cat belaongs to my boyfriend.

2 days ago, my doxie was neutered. He is often quite active and seems to be back to his normal self. I feel bad keeping him in his pen for so long. He is having cabin fever. Can I take him out for a walk still? He needs that exercise before I have a permanent rug track in my house. Any suggestions?

i posted a question for her earlier about her lumps and bumps. the problem is i know vet care is very expensive and i don't have hundreds of dollars in case of surgery or frequent visits to the vet for services.

she is a grey holland lop; 7 weeks old. she has two lumps, one on her lower back, the other above her tail. they feel like thick skin with a dry skin surface and sticky fur which comes off.

are these called abcesses?

would chamomile tea help the lumps in any way? or any other herb boiled and let to cool and then applied to the bumps? herbs are cheaper and i am thinking healthier.

please give me some advice and thank you.

I have two semi large dogs. I have been feeding them Beneful dog food for as long as I have had them. I have had my oldest dog for nearly 2 years and the other over a year. However, they dont seem to be getting the nutrients that they need from this dog food. Are there any others that I could try giving them? Please help as I dont know what other kind to buy. I have tried a few other brands of dog food but they dont eat it. I appreciate your help.

Ferrets
im going to buy unaltered ferrets from a breeder, and i need info on breeding ferrets. any advice?? i have read that the hob can be very aggressive and can hurt the Jill, but i dont want to mess any thing up by having a wounded or killed ferret or anything else.
i need this advice from someone who actually knows or has bred ferrets.
ive heard u have to seperate the female from the male at a certian time, but does she have to be removed before she goes into heat? because the male could kill her if know one was there. do u move her to a differ cage before shes in heat??? i know i must remove her when shes pregnant.
i need info, on breeding ferrets, i dont want to mess anything up.
im buying these unaltered cuz i want kits later on.
i hope this isnt perverted or anything! i just dont want a ferret killed since males are mean during that period.
i just need info so nothing gos wrong.

Both my betta, in separate tanks, scramble to eat the stuff that comes up when I clean the tank. That is gross. Is that normal? I feed them once a day, every other day.

our family's cat is the father, but the mother isnt ours, nor does she trust me. the kitten is very young, in fact, newborn may be the wrong word, the kitten is old enough that the baby have grown its own hair but too young to be active, it spend its day sleeping

In a few weeks we will have a litter of mini pinscher puppies. A few people I know that breed dogs told me that they dock the tails themselves using a string to tie around the tail and about after a week it falls off. What kind of string would I need to use? And how tight would I need to tie it around their tails?

I have had my tank for eight weeks, clean it every two weeks and change plants when they go brown. Had the water tested regularly, with no problems, and turned the temperature up to 30oC when the weather turned cold. I have silver dollars, guppies, barbs, zebra and leopard fish,all are really happy but my mollies die with in a couple of days or within two weeks. I really like mollies, they are beautiful but it is getting really depressing pulling them out. What am i doing wrong?
