Our cat loves yogurt. We only let her have a little on our finger, but she has never had any ill effects. She used to drink a little milk but now its " Did someone say YOGURT yum yum...give me some".
As far as moving house, we always put her in the cattery for a few days while we shift and bring her home a few days after when all the shuffling around has subsided. Kept in for a week. Then its supervised outside time for a few weeks and then an hour or so unsupervised.
We have taught her to come home, when her name is called, for treats (and now yogurt -lol) which helps.
We are rather potty about our kitty. Well she is our only baby. I must admit our neighbours think we are over protective, but she's a highly valued part of the family.

Absolutely no chicken or fish with bones.. nothing with bones. I give my cats milk maybe once every three months, and even then it is only a couple of licks worth. Most cats milk will give them diarrhea.. but mine also like to drink coffee when im not looking so, it really depends on the cat. Also, cats will adapt to a new home but it will take a while. So, no going outside until it feels comfortable, but if you are weary about it running away, then keep it inside just to be safe.

I work at a animal hospital and we have a few clients that board their cats with milk of course I wouldn't suggest it cause it can cause diarrhea. Cow milk is not natural for cats so if you do decide on feeding your cats any kind of milk it should be the replacement for cat milk. No fish with bones of course and small bits of chicken won't hurt but not too much maybe as a treat. I wouldn't suggest letting your cat outside there alot of different diseases out there that your cat can pick up. What's worst something bad can happen to your cat and you would never know...get your cat fixed they'll stay homebound!

I have a cat and I get a lot of helpful info from CatChannel.com. Milk is known to give adult cats diarrhea. Never give a cat chicken or fish bones; they can break apart and cause splinters. They could break a tooth chewing on the bones. Your cat might need emergency surgery for internal bleeding. In the wild, cats do eat the bones of small prey. This is OK. Cats do best staying indoors. Mine is very happy inside. She has lots of cat toys, scratch stuff, and a climbing tree. I feed her Iams dry cat food. She loves it!

Personally, I don't think you should let your cat out at all (in most cases). Especially after relocating, you never know what your cat will do or if it will get lost. Also, if you live in an apartment, this can be especially dangerous. Cats can hide out under or in cars which is very hazardous. A woman from the Humane Society also told me that people will harm or poison cats more so in apartment complexes. I'm not sure if this is common, but I wouldn't take any chances.
So, unless you live in a nice, quiet neighborhood that doesn't have much traffic, I think it would be best to keep your cat indoors.

Please tell me you are joking about the milk, chicken and fish with bones. To answer your frist part, you should wait at least 2 weeks before letting them out side and before even doing that I would recomand getting your cat micochiped,so if he dose get lost you can get him back.Next part everyone in there right mind knows not to feed there cat/kitten milk or any thing with bones. They can get real sick on the milk and choke on the bones. If you want to feed them milk go to your local pet store and buy some milk that is called cat milk.It is good for them and safe also. But if you chose to cont feeding them chicken bones and fish bones, please put the cat up for adoption, or give it away to someone who will treat it right.Sorry to sound mean but you are being mean to the cat by giving it bones.

I almost hope this is a joke, because with all the information on the internet and in books, nobody in their right mind should think that ANY of that is good for a cat.
No milk. No chicken or fish, with or without bones. Good quality cat food, no dairy, and don't ever let a cat outside unless you don't mind that it probably won't make it back alive.
Better yet, don't get a cat. If you have a cat, find it a good home now.

NO do not let the cat outside PERIOD or his life is cut in half or less. If you want to teach the cat about the new yard, the take it for a walk on a leash for every day for at least a month. Problem is cat may try and go to the old house if you let it outside.
Milk is not good for cats, for most it gives them diarrhea according to our vet.
NO you do NOT feed the cat human food with bones. Wanna see it die.
Give it cat food, canned or dry. My vet says dry is better and cleans the teeth.
As a treat I do give cat a touch of boneless cooked chicken or turkey, or a touch from a tuna can, which she usually will not eat.

I would keep the cat inside for at least 3 weeks otherwise it might try and go back to the old home. I wouldn't feed my cat anything with bones in it as they can choke on it. The vet just recommends cat food and no table food at all.
