but i dont think just b/c it says Chihuahua-toy breed rescue means thier ALL toy.
when you see the 2nd picture on the first site it dosent seem toy...

also is this a long or short hair chi?
i think its short but just making sure.

(I know ive been asking a lot of questions about this puppy, it's just that i might adopt it and i need to know some info..)

Looks like a Chi mix to me, actually. We have a Chi mix and he is the most adorable, sweet, obedient, smart dog in existence. He is a little high-strung and afraid of children though.

All Chihuahuas are "toy", because Chi is a Toy breed, like poodles or pomeranians. You might be thinking of the really tiny Chis which are called "teacup".

Personally I wouldn't want a pure Chi male. Male pure Chihuahuas, even if they are fixed, can be very possessive of their owners and aggressive towards strangers and children. If you are ready to have your dog freak out and snap at anyone who tries to get close to you, then maybe a male Chi is for you. A male Chi is definitely a one-owner dog and usually will only bond with one person in a family. It takes a lot of training to calm him down and get him to accept other ppl.

Hi, the white puppy does not really look like a Chihuahua, but it's hard to tell from pics. Chihuahuas are a toy breed, but this could be a mix, although cute, and some are smaller than others. If they are not registered, how do you know from a pic? Also, some long hair Chihuahuas have shorter hair when pups and the long hair grows in at about 3 months. (I raise long hair Chihuahuas in AZ.) I would not recommend buying a pup on the internet, as you cannot see or feel their demeanor, personality, physical condition, or behavior around people or other animals. The pup needs to fit YOU, not a name on the web. Give yourself the ultimate treat, and go look in person! Have fun and good luck!

First if it is a chihuahua --- chihuahuas are in teh toy breed so all chihuahuas are toy dogs.
Second that is not a white pup but a light cream.
Third if you write to them ask how old is the pup now and how much does it weight. there are charts to give you a general idea of the size it will be full grown.
Forth I can get purebred chihuahuas without being fixed. and come with shots and all for $250-$350
You are taking your chances getting a puppy from teh web without seeing it before getting it.
Looks like it may either be short hair or a mix of short & long if it's even a purebred.
I would want a LOT more info from the rescue group first.
I would never pay that kind of money for a dog like that and not know what it actually is.

All Chihuahuas are toy breeds that is the class they are in. I agree that next to that other dog it doesn't look toy but if you look at the other pictures it does look like a Chihuahua. I would say short hair but I would make sure that I see this dog in person instead of blindly adopting based on pictures.

Petfinder is a great place to adopt from. They are reputable and highly recommended, they also coordinate with places like petco, so if you had any questions you might be able to contact petco because they might have some info!
It doesn't look like a full blood chihuahua, and if you are looking for a papered dog you won't be getting one from an adoption agency.
It looks to be a chihuahua pomeranian mix. I've seen quiet a few come in to our office, they make cute little dogs.

All chihuahuas are toy breed. He may be a mix or just not a good quality chi but he is a cutie. $350 is high for an afoption fee, but at least he will be neutered and have its shots and everything.

Looks like a good pup... But do not adopt over the Web. Go see and touch the puppy. A lot of people have been getting bad puppies when they buy over the Web... Be careful.

Short hair is also mainstream, I love lOng hair upon guys more, it looks sexy: three short hair can look nice yet it looks really common
