I just want to make sure my bearded dragon is pooping a normal amount of times. While I'm on the subject, she's quite a picky eater and wont usually climb down to eat her food until around noonish, and even then she just nibbles at it. Is there any way of improving her appettite? Thanks all, for your poop and food suggestions.

We humans live in close contact with dogs, cats and several other species of companion animals. Living in close contact with ANYONE can occassionally result in problems... behavior problems (aggression, chronic barking, fear) or in management issues.

What do you think is the problem that most badly needs a solution in terms of animals living among us?

My fish are mysteriously dissapearing. We (my fish lovin dad and i) think that the other fish may have ate them. One that dissapeared was kinda big but there were two smaller ones also. Unless my fish are dying and my dad's just flushing them and is too embarrased to tell me, i have no idea where they went. Does anyone noe what kinds of aggressive fish eat others.

A Texas lab, found acetaminophen (a fifth possible
contaminant) in at least five samples of pet food that were submitted by pet owners and pet manufacturers. The medication was mostly found with cyanuric acid, and hundreds of other samples that were sent in tested positive for melamine.

The highest level of acetaminophen was found in a dog food sample submitted by a pet food manufacturer, but the lab is not identifying the company.

The contaminants were found in pet foods that have not
been recalled!

We are getting 4 goats, 3 female and 1 male. We will be keeping them in the Hutto(TX) area where there's coyotes and stuff. We have a jenny. Do you think if we put her with the goats that she will protect them? I hear thats what dokeys do, but I wasn't sure.

She was doing this in the big tank so we moved her into her own tank, so not to infect the others. The fish store said to give her veggie food, we did that and she seemed to get better; but this morning again tail up and head down. She does not seem to have discoloration or spots, no slime so we do not think it is velvet; but who knows. We have consulted all the folks we know and checked all the books we have as well and have been unable to find anything regarding this; can someone please help?

I have a vet appointment tomorrow but how can I check her to see if she needs more immediate care? She seems to be okay, no limping or anything, but it was a pretty serious crash and I'm already really sore in my neck and back.

He is a small tortoise. He had a cage but the cats broke it. It needs a lid that slides off so we can put his heating lamps on it, and be able to take off the lid to feed him. He likes lots of room, and its too cold for him to live outside. Inside, he is in a small area, and there is nowhere else to put his cage! Please help, he's living in the bathtub for now. Thanks!

I got home and my frog was sitting in the bottom of the tank not moving, so i lifted him up and got him a little damp with some water and he turned around. I put him back in the cage and he started shaking, like shivering it seemed, and his legs stretched out and he got all stiff and layed on his back like he was dead!! I picked him up and he sat on my hand and was sort of moving, then he turned around. I put him on the water dish and he's been sitting there, not hopping.. He's been really slow for the past week, what's wrong with him??!!!!! Please help!! He's an american green tree frog, about 7 months old!!

We had a lawn laid at Easter, it looked great until brown patches started appearing. We realised it is where the dog wees. Is there anything we can do to stop this happening? It has already been suggested that we get rid of the dog, which we won't do. Anyone know of anything we can give him? I know it is usually bitches that cause this, he was neutered at 6 months and maybe this has affected his hormones?

Ok guys, I want to kill two birds with one stone... Some of you may remember my question from the other day, and we came to the conlusion that my tank is still building its biological filter... (its only 2 weeks old, and i lost a fish in my 38 gallon tank.) I took a sample to the pet store and they told me my water was between stressful and harmful with the levels of ammonia. My nitrites and nitrates were fine. I have scheduled another water change for Thurs. since my last... only 15%. So, my first question is should i let nature take its course and keep building the filter to break down ammonia, or should i use Ammo Lock, which detoxifies it.. or a similar tablet called Ammonia Buddy? And if I'm to use no chemical, will it be "survival of the fittest" for my fish? I figure if I get enough of the same answer, then I'll know the solution. Also, I have a Violet Goby, will these chemicals affect it?
I will be adding 1 more question in my "Additional details." PLEASE WAIT TO POST!

....are they supposed to look scruffy? My two males are moulting something chronic at the moment but one of them looks a bit balding and patchy. Is this normal?

All that I remember about it is that it looks like a minature shark, it has a broad head for the size of its body, dark colored, and it chomps at the top of the water when you put food in the tank. It really stuck its nose out of the water when it was eating.

What sparks this baffling behavior anyways? Is it boredom? Instinct? Terroritorial behavior? Psychological imbalance? Environment?

What?

I am losing the battle with my cockroaches. They have developed immunity to everything I can throw at them. I know they can't develop immunity to boric acid, but I have heard boric acid & cats do not go together. I have no desire to risk my three cats health... but what if I only put the boric acid inside the cabinets I know the cats never get into? Or even into the drawers in my kitchen? What are the boric acid/cat risks?

Okay...I have a female rommate. I have a dog and she has a dog. I get home from work at 5pm and she won't get home until 6pm. I HATE WALKING HER DOG!! I have been walking it to be nice for about 1 year now. I feel bad because she does not take her dog for walks EVER. I mean, ever in like 2 times in one year. So, instead of letting her out back in our super small yard, I just take her dog with me. She also works on Saturday, so I really have no other choices but to walk her dog. Plus, her dog has had an issue w/ shitting in the house...so, I'd like to keep my roommate from beating her as well.
I enjoy that she would let my dog out back, or feed him if ever need be(heck, even watch him if I'm out of town visa/versa though) So, we both need each other.
However, should I tell her to start walking her own darn dog after work? I could let it out back while I walk mine. I feel like she'll get pissed and I could lose the benifit of her taking care of my dog when need be. HELP ME!

We have a bijon with some maltese and poodle mixed in. She is 6 mo. old, and likes the canned watery food better. Well, so would I! Dog owners, dry or wet plus dry food for our little white ball of energy!
