I put him back in the cage and he started shaking, like shivering it seemed, and his legs stretched out and he got all stiff and layed on his back like he was dead!! I picked him up and he sat on my hand and was sort of moving, then he turned around. I put him on the water dish and he's been sitting there, not hopping.. He's been really slow for the past week, what's wrong with him??!!!!! Please help!! He's an american green tree frog, about 7 months old!!

It sounds like tetany. These are muscular tremors, spasms and contractions brought on by low blood calcium levels. Has his diet included additional calcium on the crickets? If not, and he is still eating I would correct that right away. Try to avoid handling him, it can trigger the seizures and they are frequently fatal. Good luck.

It could have a heart disorder or some disorder with its organs. It sounds like your frog is going to die so be ready for the day. Make sure when you change frogs water you only used purified spring water. Any other water has a ton of chemicals in it that could make your frog sick. Make sure his tank is clean but only clean it with water. Using cleaners will make you frog sick and it might die. You can buy some para zap that is like a tea that would rid him of any bacteria or viruses that could be making him sick.

either your frog is starving or malnourished (in this case it IS too late for him, and hes dying inevitably) OR hes suffering seizures do to flashing lights.

some people don't realize that flashing lights (like video games etc etc) give reps/amphibs seizures. if you do have flashing lights around, stop it! if you don't , then hes not eating well obviously
