My dog has had reoccuring bacterial bladder infection after several treatments with antibiotics. Today she had an accident inside, and I found a transparent/white little pieze which looked like a rice grain. Could this be a crystal? Or are crystals in urine to small to see? It could be just something else that was lying on the floor from before...

I went to the petstore today to get another pet rat. The pet store guy just ripped one out of the cage (literally, it was clinging to the bars with its feet and he ripped it off) and said "is this one okay?" I said sure and he put him in a box and I took him home. However, as soon as i took him out of the box I noticed that one of his toenails was bent straight up and bleeding. I pushed it down gently..Is there anything else I can do for him?

I need a bigger tank for my Geckos. Tanks with screen sides seem to be much cheaper. Does any one know if it will cause any major problems having a screen tank intead of a glass one?

Callie, is about 8-9months old, they lady whom we got her from "said" she had her shots... we've had her about 4months. she was very playful at first.. with in the last week, she is acting strange... she barely meows anymore, if you go to pet her--u get HANDFULS of hair-it's sooo bad i can see cat hair floating in the air... and she will not come out of her room.. she either sits or lies next to were her food is... she is eating-but is losing weight. anyone have a serious reply they could give me, i would truly appreicate.. and also her back legs are kinda bent in, she is walking kinda different...

I have 4 normal goldfish, 3 Calico fantail goldfish and a black molly and an orange coloured molly, a gravel cleaner and an algae eater (pleco?) and now 16 molly fry (seperated in the breeding tank still, one week old). I have read that goldfish and mollies cannot be in the same tank together. Why?? I have had these guys for about a month in the same tank and they are fine. I have a 55 gallon tank, filter, heater, real plants, gravel. I do a 25% water change every weekend. Water temp is at 80 degrees. Have been offered about 20 guppies approximately 1 month old now. Will they work with the mixture of fish I have and how many could I take? Thank you in advance for your answers!!

Ok, so if cat whiskers aid in a cat judging the size of a passageway and stuff like that....what happens in a case where the cat has HUGE whishers. I have a 10 month old kitten with whiskers that are bigger on each side than my bigger adult cats whiskers are in total....does this mean she will be a big kitty(she is normal right now) or is this a breed trait? She also has VERY long hair in her ears and quite long fur(especially on her tail).

My 7-8 year old pit bull mix has ben lethargic lately. We noticed that she had a orange colored diarreah and would not drink or eat. Our vet told us that she likely has an autoimmune disease called IMHD, but I can't find anything on this disease on the internet. Right now she is critically ill with a low red blood cell count. She is on Doxycycline,Prednisone, & Imuran. Has anyone else had any experience with this disease in dogs who can offer some advice?

I have a 11 year old dog, hes a flat-coated retriever/border collie, we want to start him on iams senior dog formula, but we also have a 4 year old border collie/black lab. Out of my 2 year old boxer, 8 year old chihuahua, and 3 1/2 month old pit bull puppy, which one is the most aggressive? As in, which one will be nice one minute then freak out on you the next, and doesn't like strangers or other dogs? Next, which one will do an alarm bark when someone comes to the door, is a total sweetheart but is completely calm, and is awesome with little bitty tiny kids? Last, which one is a complete spaz, never stops wagging the tail, runs from one end of the house to the next, licks all the time, and is very very excited and happy to see people?
