My young cat died suddenly after being swatted by my older cat, however it was only a swat, not an attack.

I wormed my cat with drops that were applied to the back of his neck. It was a brand that I have never used before.

About 5 minutes after it was applied he started frothing at the mouth and ran to go outside. I let him out, but kept an eye on him.

Approx 10 minutes later I checked on him and he was fine and was not frothing anymore.

I brought him in and gave him some treats as I thought maybe he might have reacted to the taste of it.

What could have caused him to do this?

I know you should deworm when puppies, but do you need to do it again every year, or only if you see them in feces?

do you think it would be sanitary to keep old blankets to use in place of straws for horses stalls and wash and dry them and reuse them as bedding? maybe 10 or more old blankets on a rubber matt per stall, and then change them for 10 more blankets after the rubber mat underneath has been sanitized or what ever they do with the mats?

Ive had rats for years and Ive never seen one do this before..I'll explain:

I got a new rat today and he's still petrified of everything. He's been hiding in the corner all day..now he finally moved into a tube I have in there..

One of my other rats approached him and the new one squealed at him. The old rat then turned around, and backed into the tube the new one was in, butt first. Then he wiggled his butt around a little and came out again. He did this a few times.

what the heck, is he doing?

Any information would be helpful, if you need more details just let me know. Thanks in advance.

As always, I feel the need to add, rat haters need not reply. I know you hate them, and I do not care. Thank you, have a nice day

Whenever our female Shar-Pei puppy needs discipline she gets spanked (relax people...shes a dog) but I've been noticing lately theres a nasty odor that lingers about her after her disciplining. Sometimes so bad we've had to put her outside just to investigate if the smell really is comming from her. I suspect that purhaps she may be urinating on herself. (which would explain her fur being damp but it doesn't explain how it gets all over, unless she's rolling around in it which hasn't been the case always because I've kept my eye on here after she gets spanked) Has any other female dog owners experienced this type of thing? This is our second female puppy but the other never had a problem like this. Does this sound familiar to anyone out there? Any feedback is much appreciated! Thanxx

I have an older female cat of three years that has bin spayed, but we got a kitten yesterday. How do you make them like eachother to avoid confrontation? They already hissed at eachother.

I have a rotweiler that stays outside in a kennel. He has a dog house and there is cedar shavings on the ground. I've tried to bring him inside when it gets below 30, but he pants like hes hot and scratches at the door. I know these dogs come from Germany where it gets really cold. Do these dogs like the cold better. Also it gets down to about 15 at night, will he be Ok if i leave him outside.

My friend is leaving for overseas and needs someone to look after his 3 cats. I've got a 1+ year old cat that is extremely playful and can be quite aggresive. I tried one of his cats (male) which is about the same age, but my cat ended up bullying it (licks and little bites) until it started hiding permanently in dark corners. Is this normal? We tried it for a week before returning it. Is it too short a time to judge them? Is there a chance that my friend's timid cat will come out and play given time? We want our cat to have a friend but not at the cost of that other cat being miserable. Help!

My red eared slider, everytime I see him, is laying under his little island. And when I move the island he freaks out and goes to the next place to hide. When I first got him he used to swim a lot, now I never even see him. The other day I took him out of his cage to let him roam cause he really loves to roam around the living room (dont worry, I watch him cause he's still tiny) but he didnt even come out of his shell. So after a few mins just put him back in his little home. He's been like that for about 2 weeks. Then all of a sudden today I took him out and at first he didnt come out of his shell, then he came out and was runnin all over the place! It was crazy. When I put him back I fed him and for the first time I saw him eat, and he ate A LOT! is this common??

Also the back of his shell is a little soft, what do I do about that???

My dog is getting old, and as much as I hate to face it, one day she will die.
I have only had one dog in my life, I was wondering what do you do if the dog dies in your home?
