We had for a while a gecko that hitched a ride in one of our suitcases from a trip to Florida. We ended up naming him Nomad and caring for it til he died a few months later.

I had a pet baby skunk for a while, she was so sweet, would curl up in my pocket and sleep. She wouldn't quit squeeking when I put her back in her cage until I picked her up again.

My house was once infested with baby rabbits. We aren't sure how they got there but scared the crap out of us. I also had a Hermaphrodite cat, named buttons.

I had a pet snail - it lived almost a year! It preferred lettuce over any other vegetable, and loved to sleep upside-down.
