I keep leopard geckos and the mortality rate of crickets is a constant annoyance. Is there any way to keep crickets alive longer without using something that will harm the geckos when they eat them?

My friends young cat (4 months old) broke his leg from jumping up to a counter. She took the kitten to a vet that kept putting the kitten in only splints of which he was able to come out of rather quickly. Now, because of this, this poor kitten is in the hospital getting pins in his leg. My friend is crying her eyes out over this. The kitten is her baby. She lives in northern Illinois. What are her options? What are her rights? This was a total accident because the kitten wanted to go someplace where he shouldnt have been. My friend was asleep when this happened so there was absolutely no abuse involved. She would give up her arms for this kitten.

Please, serious answers only. We really need your help here.

our horse we believe to be pregnant is on her late 10th month of pregnancy, due in a few weeks, and my sis checked and her vagina is swollen and red, could this indicate something bad, or does it mean she is getting ready to have the baby, or what could this mean???

Personaly I dont think breeding animals of any kind should be a hobby,even if the animal has been to shows...and a backyard breeder is just uneducated and let there animals breed when ever... So maybe people should be required to get a breeding license... What do you think? please dont be rude, just share your opinion

WE were just picking out the horses hooves and one of them was being really stubbon, then I got to one foot, just lifted it, but he wouldnt bend it, so I had it sticking out straight so I could clean the ice out

My dog ate quite a bit of Triaminic (cough syrup).
I didnt' think anything of it at first, but then I noticed that around her eyes got bright red/pink. Is it related, or just a coincidence? I called the ER vet and they told me to call animal poison control, who said it would be $55 just to get a yes or no answer. Does anyone know?

after she,s had a siezure she,s all weak shes already been diagnosed by a vet and given medicine but this was before i had her i bought more medicine but i find it makes her worse she only has siezures when shes stressed out some are worse than others but she had a bad one today and i thought she was going to die. is there any one out there who has an epeleptic dog to give me advice on the best thing to do after a siezure.......................should i give her somethink sweet or aviod it

I know this is an odd question, but i have a 9 yr old German Sheperd, and i CANT clip her nails cause she trys to bite, i have tried so much , the vet has tried a few times and refuses to try again cause she bites. We have put muzzels on her and tried to treat her while were doing it but she WILL NOT let us clip them lol it is so bad. They are pretty long right now but not extremely long. But if they get too long is there something that could be wrong at all..or does anyone have ANY advice at all on to help me clip them. The vet said he wouldnt sedate her so that he can clip them but...lol im desperate...any help would be really appriciated. Thanks

I am getting a new puppy soon and I'm torn between a few different breeds. I want a dog under 10 lbs that is relatively quiet (not a big yapper). I know it's hard to find in a toy breeds. Give me some ideas on some great dogs that would do ideally in an apartment, by themself while I'm at work for a few hours and will not bother the neighbors with loud barking constantly while I'm away.
