My dog ate quite a bit of Triaminic (cough syrup).
I didnt' think anything of it at first, but then I noticed that around her eyes got bright red/pink. Is it related, or just a coincidence? I called the ER vet and they told me to call animal poison control, who said it would be $55 just to get a yes or no answer. Does anyone know?

The ASPCA poison control line MAY charge a consult fee to your credit card. You could always call and see what happens. Or you can waste time on here and watch your pet deteriorate.

Try www.petpoisonhelpline.com

They also have a phone number...800-213-6680 (US)

I dont' know if they charge as I have never called the number.

Contact your vet again and ask how much hydrogen peroxide to give to induce vomiting. Inducing vomiting will only help if she ingested the Triaminic in the last 2 hours though.

Call some emergency Vet clinics or pay the 55 dollars because if you are noticing something like what you described your dog is needing help fast.

Get intouch with a vet. If not you may not have a dog. I really don't think $55 is much compared to what you could be up against if you don't take care of this now.

Good Luck

Call a Pharmacist or a Poison Control center.

I hope that this helps.

I would think so (especially if it has Acetaminophen and decongestants in it). I would just take the dog to the vet.

Sue those people. Tell them it's an emercy and you'll fight for your dog. Go to a ASPCA near you, and if it's to far, call vet's until one takes your dog in. DO NOT PUT YOUR DOG TO SLEEP un less it is for sure she will die and then let her rest in peace. My prayers to you!
